Perez Hilton has been reunited with his kids, his family confirm in detailed 500-word update
There are aspects of his recovery that are still ‘hard’
Over a month after his graphic livestream video, Perez Hilton has finally been reunited with his three kids as he continues to recover both mentally and physically.
On August 4, Perez Hilton’s TikTok live showed him self-harming in front of those watching. Once police were able to enter the property, he was rushed to the hospital to be treated for significant blood loss.
Perez’s mum took custody of his three kids at the time, but a few weeks later, a judge granted him visitation. There were two conditions, the first being that a doctor clears him.
“Any visitation with Respondent shall be supervised either with an agreed-upon family member or a therapist until further order of the Court or agreement of the parties, so long as Respondent has obtained psychiatric clearance,” the order stated.
But even then, he was unable to see his kids because of the graphic nature of his injuries.

Perez Hilton’s family and friends are currently running his website, and it’s there that they have been providing updates every couple of weeks.
In an update this week, they shared: “As for Perez, he remains in residential treatment, where the focus continues to be on his mental health and recovery. We’re very happy to share that over the past few weeks, Perez has been able to reconnect with his children and his mom.
“They were first able to spend time together through a few video calls, and since then, Perez has also been able to see his children and his mom a few times for short, supervised visits at the facility. Seeing his children in person has meant an enormous amount to Perez. There have definitely been a lot of emotions for everyone, but being able to spend that time together has been incredibly meaningful and healing.”
It’s not clear when he’ll be released

It’s a pretty positive update in the context of the story, but his family admitted that it’s been “hard” with limited communication.
“He’s continuing to work with his care team on understanding what led to his mental health crisis, recognising warning signs, learning better ways to cope, and working through everything that brought him to this point,” they added.
“At the moment, we still don’t have a timeline for when Perez will leave residential treatment or when he’ll be able to return home.”
That being said, they’re incredibly “grateful” for the progress he’s made so far and “especially grateful that he and his children have been able to spend some time together again.”
Elsewhere in the message, they thanked Perez’s friend, Tom D’Angora, for setting up a GoFundMe to help the blogger’s mum raise his kids.
Only 300 people had donated at the time of writing, totalling just shy of $15k.
