This girl called Ellie Ellis just gained over 400k on TikTok in three days and it’s insane

The name Ellie Ellis is everywhere on TikTok right now, and if you’re a bit confused, here’s what the hell is going on. Basically, this random girl has gained over 400k followers on TikTok in three days for doing nothing at all, and it’s totally insane.

It all started three days ago, when Ellie, a 16-year-old British girl, created a TikTok account and uploaded her first video to try and grow her confidence. She’s just finished her GCSEs, and now she’s suddenly become an influencer overnight.

“Hello. Oh my god, I can’t believe I’m doing this. Hello. Um, this is gonna be my get ready with me account, I guess. I don’t know. I don’t know what I’m doing on here. But I just need to get more confidence and I need to stop being shy,” she said in the video, which has now had a whopping 8.9 million views.

The four-minute clip basically just consisted of her sitting there and doing her makeup while chatting to the camera. She spoke about how she’d blocked all the boys from her school so they wouldn’t see her video, and chatted a bit about manifestation. And that was literally it.

Before she posted the video, she had six followers. After posting it, her account grew to 20k in a day. The next morning, she woke up to 50k. She made another video and grew to 100k, then 200k. Now, she’s up to an absolutely mind-blowing 410k, after just three days and eight videos.

All eight videos, which are mostly get-read-with-me’s, hair routines and her squealing in excitement over how many followers she’s gained, have had over two million views, and she’s literally a fully-fledged influencer after 72 hours. She’s already had big beauty brands like Garnier, Maybelline and NYX in her comments and DMs offering PR packages too.

She admitted that she has been feeling a little bit “overwhelmed,” but she’s so “grateful” too. At just 16, she has a very successful career ahead of her.
