‘The Ultimate Bush’: Kim Kardashian is getting dragged for SKIMS’ new faux hair underwear

The hairy, £34 panty comes in 12 shades – if you fancy it

Never underestimate the ability of Kim Kardashian to make everyone talk about her. She is truly the undisputed master of taking points, and just when all was quiet across the land she’s rocked right back up with her most divisive product for SKIMS yet – a range of faux hair underwear panties with pubic curls on them called ‘the ultimate bush’. When I first saw these I honestly thought they were from Poo Crave or Pob Base – but no. The ultimate bush era is real and Kim Kardashian has actually launched some hairy bush knickers – and she’s getting dragged for the SKIMS hair venture on the internet right now.

I cannot get over the range being called The Ultimate Bush

The thongs are available right now. Well, they were. They’ve already fully sold out and you have to join a waitlist if you wish to own an ultimate bush yourself. The official product description on the UK SKIMS site reads “Our most daring panty yet. Hand-made in a super sheer, stretch mesh, this string thong features a mix of curly and straight faux hair in twelve different shade variations. Complete with elastic side straps. Fits true to size.”

You can go for a curly option in 12 shades or one I can only describe as pony hair. Both have fully sold out. Halloween looms, I guess.

The social media reaction is… divided

Despite the sellout, people are obviously doing what was surely the intention of Kim Kardashian launching some pubic hair ultimate bush skims – talking about it.

“Smart way to bring people to your website, have them laughing, then them ending up buying actual cute stuff they don’t even need. Genius e-commerce team,” one fan wrote.

Another chimed in: “I have to say Skims brand and marketing team deserves a raise! This is bananas but so innovative.”

Not everything was so perky in regards to Kim K the business woman however. Some very serious points are rightly being made for a product that is essentially flogging a fake version of what bodies do naturally.

“Capitalism convinced women their body hair is not natural just to sell them body hair removal products and now they’re trying to sell an artificial version of it,” said one damning person online.

“A family that’s spent over two decades promoting a false image of womens bodies now turning around and, through multiple mediums, sell faux versions of the real thing so consumers can be on trend without actually ‘sacrificing’ their bodily aesthetic. Right, no for sure, totally.”
