Every student knows that squeezing those last pennies out of your budget is no mean feat. Treating yourself post-deadlines or pre-exams has never sounded better, or cheaper, with Liverpool’s Restaurant Week kicking off in just a day’s time.

Our food and drink culture is something all students must experience whilst living in the city, and what better time than to give it a go than now?

Just make sure you download the offers on Liverpool Restaurant Week’s website to ensure you save those pennies!

£5 offers

PINS Social Club

Located on Duke Street, its £5 offer for a slice of pizza and a beer is a perfect incentive to stroll down into town after a gruelling library session. If that isn’t enough, the vibe on its rooftop bar is perfect for a bite to eat with friends in the evening – and who doesn’t love cheap beer?

Bean Coffee

In our honest opinion, for the sweet treats alone this is worth it. Bean is offering a coffee and a cake for just £5 in its Liverpool ONE cafe – so whether you’re planning a catch up with friends before the summer, or looking for a change of scenery to get some work done, this is definitely a spot to consider.

Plus, it has multiple co-working areas upstairs, so a group study session should definitely be on the cards here.

Gusto

Walking along the docks while the sun is out has to be an essential experience for any student in Liverpool, so why not pair that with a coffee and traditional Italian cannoli?

Well, Gusto on Albert Dock is offering just that for only £5, and you can snap it up on your way to the waterfront while you reflect on your unfinished essays and looming deadlines. Just a little something to take the edge off, right?

Yamama Cafe & Bar

Another potential study spot which won’t break the bank is the hidden gem of Yamama down by the Baltic Triangle. It’s offering £5 for a coffee and a cake, and although it’s a bit of a walk away from campus, the location is ideal for a shopping trip down to the Red Brick Market, or a therapeutic walk along the waterfront after studying.

£15 offers

Frederiks

As a Liverpool student, you’ve probably explored the food and drink scene of Hope Street, but how about saving money whilst sampling a variety dishes at the same time? That is exactly what Frederiks is offering, the popular home of Hope Street Jazz.

Its deal is three small plates, sliders, pizzettes or desserts for £15 – so it would be rude not to head down to experience the food culture of the Georgian Quarter, and maybe stay for some live music later on in the night.

Bold Street Coffee

Bold Street Coffee has been one of the staple study spots for any Liverpool student since the dawn of time – and what’s better than a study session with some brunch and an iced latte? Saving money, obviously. For £15 you can grab an egg buoy, a cookie and a coffee here, to fulfil your caffeine cravings while also providing fuel for the study session. We all know how busy it gets in BSC though, so use it as an excuse to get that early morning revision out the way.

Haute Dolci

Continuing on with the Bold Street trend, this dessert restaurant is offering a main, dessert and drink all for £15. We’ll let that sink in for a minute.

The desserts at Haute Dolci are absolutely beautiful, but a whole meal for that price? It’s time to grab your nearest and dearest and treat yourself, because this deal is definitely worth it.

Crust

Bruschetta, pizza and a beer all for £15? Yes please. This deal speaks for itself, but if you need convincing, just have another look at that price. Crust is offering its incredible handcrafted, wood fired pizzas alongside a classic Italian bruschetta for an absolute bargain this week – an ideal post-deadlines celebration meal for you and your housemates.

YO! Sushi

YO! Sushi might be one of the most popular and well-known locations on the list here, but the food here is simply incredible. Its 20 per cent UNiDAYS discount has already made this spot a certified student staple, but it’s got a three course set menu for £15 up for grabs this restaurant week – so run, don’t walk. Girl maths says it’s basically free, because you’re saving over a tenner with this offer.

£25 Offers

Revolución de Cuba

As one of the most popular cocktail bars in the city, Revolución de Cuba is definitely somewhere that all uni students should visit at some point.

Not only is Albert Dock a perfect place to spend the evening with friends, but three tapas dishes and two cocktails for £25 ensures you won’t spend all the student loan, but still have a good night.

Plus, its tapas dishes are usually around £7.25 each without the deal, so by my logic you’re basically saving money.

Turtle Bay

Are you even a student if you haven’t had a messy birthday bottomless brunch here?

Turtle Bay isn’t too far away over on Hanover Street, and it’s offering a three course menu for just £25. And even better? You can choose from any dish on its menu to experience the true Caribbean flavour, and the food is ridiculously good.

This is a perfect place to celebrate the end of the year with friends, or even visit as a reward for all the studying. We wouldn’t recommend hitting it off with the cocktails before a day in the Sydney Jones but, we can’t tell you what to do.

£35 Offers

Hard Days Night Hotel

We might be on the more expensive side of the deals now, but what’s better than celebrating the end of the year than a bottomless brunch?

There is no better student experience than spending a day knocking back the drinks and stumbling down Bold Street while dodging the delivery bikes.

Usually £45, the Hard Days Night Hotel bottomless brunch is down to just £35, so you can definitely get your money’s worth here. Also, if you hadn’t already guessed from the name, this spot is literally themed around The Beatles, so why not enjoy yourself and pretend you’re a tourist for the day?

Pho

If you’ve got a bit of a higher budget or maybe just looking to treat yourself to some authentic Vietnamese food, this is the place to go.

In both the Bold Street and Castle Street restaurants, Pho is offering two main courses, two starters and two beers or wines for £35. This would be the perfect place to come with friends to experience a new culture, or maybe to make it even cheaper you could share with a friend or date – whichever suits you best!

Liverpool Restaurant Week is such an underrated event in the city, but this guide should help you in picking out the best value for money deals in and around town. If you’ve had your eye on one of these restaurants for a while, then now’s your time to shine. Exam stress isn’t real when you’re sat around a table of small plates with your friends, trust us.
