Influencer snuck toddler into first class on train as she ‘couldn’t find a seat’ and people are livid

‘First class was right in front of me… how could I say no?’

A mum influencer has sparked debate after she took her child into first class on a train, despite not paying for it. The woman admitted she felt bad about not paying for the first class ticket, but couldn’t find a seat for her and her child to sit together.

Aniella Rose has nearly 130k followers on TikTok, and shared a video about her experience to her account. She often posts about life and being a mother. “I think using first class as a last resort is pretty valid,” she said in the caption.

She opened the video with: “Would you be happy about me and my toddler sneaking into first class? You guessed it, that’s exactly what I did.” The woman explained she had no intention of doing this from the beginning of the journey, but did when she realised there were no two seats and tables together in the standard class.

“For this long journey it really set off my anxiety,” she said. “So I let my child chose a sparkling water in first class instead.” She said she had too much luggage with her to go around searching for a seat. “First class was right in front of me with a huge luggage area,” Aniella said. “How could I say no?”.

Our 6 hour journey turned in to 8 hours due to train delays so I think using first class as a last resort is pretty valid 😂😅 #trainjourney #firstclass #motherhood #toddlersoftiktok #mumtok

She added she “did of course feel guilty” she hadn’t paid for the ticket, and admitted she lied to a member of staff who came around, and told them she had paid for first class. “I didn’t want to get caught,” she said. “I did feel really bad about that.” But, when staff scanned her ticket, they “didn’t even say anything”.

However, she later said she felt less bad because the train got delayed for an hour, which meant she and her child missed a connecting journey. “I would like to say first class made up for it,” she said. “But I was worried about his behaviour the whole time. A lot more than I would be in the usual area. But, It was a really funny experience.”

The video concluded: “Do you think it’s fair to use first class if there’s no room and you’re in desperate need of a place to sit?”. People in the comments were quick to judge, and overall disagreed with the decision.

“The entitlement of parents blows my mind,” one person said. Another added: “With the price of first class tickets now, I’d have been fuming had I paid that out only to watch someone come in and sit there for free.” One more comment said: “You get what you pay for. Better planning next time. Who cares about your luggage? It’s not fair. you should be moved as soon as ticket’s scanned.”

Another person said she “can be taken to court in retrospect” whilst another called it “bang out of order”. What do you think?
