Celebrity Bear Hunt cast member came close to death in freak accident during filming for show

One of the cast members in Celebrity Bear Hunt on Netflix revealed they almost drowned and had to be resuscitated by Bear Grylls after falling unconscious underwater. I’m panicking for them already.

Reports of a serious freak accident occurring on the set of Celebrity Bear Hunt were reported weeks with a source revealing the cast member in question “though they were a goner.”

As for who the cast member in question is, it’s Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen who had to be “pulled to safety” by members of the team after being “dragged underwater.”

According to reports, during filming for the new show in Costa Rica, Laurence was taking part in a water challenge where he was told to jump from a boat into the river.

However, after he jumped he quickly became entangled in a bungee rope and became trapped underneath the boat, where he was dragged underwater for several minutes, according to sources. Once he was rescued by supervising team members he lost consciousness and had to be resuscitated by Bear Grylls.

A source claimed to Mail Online: “Laurence was very shaken as was everyone. He said that he thought he was a goner.

“It was a very serious situation and at the time we thought that maybe Netflix wouldn’t show what happened because it was that bad, but now it looks as if it will be in the programme. Netflix was very very apologetic about it afterwards.”

The cast member later opened up to Mail Online about his traumatic experience, describing how he had to be saved on Celebrity Bear Hunt.

Laurence admitted: “It turns out, I’m actually not built to be an Avenger. I really thought I could take this on. I was full of adrenaline and confidence, but sadly, my abilities were not quite up to the task.”

He added how he accidentally carried on trying to swim after getting stuck under the boat, eventually losing consciousness and experiencing chest pains.

“The next thing I know, I get Bear on top of me – which I know millions of people would give their arm for. But he felt like a damp bag of spanners!”
