Recognise the uber-talented cast of Apple Cider Vinegar? Here’s where you’ve seen them before
This cast is STACKED
The long-awaited Apple Cider Vinegar dropped on Netflix today, and I don’t want to jinx it but the cast alone should catapult it to number one on the TV chart.
The show, which is inspired by the real-life story of health scam artist Belle Gibson, unpacks the toxic underbelly of the health industry that began when Belle faked having cancer.
“Set at the birth of Instagram, Apple Cider Vinegar follows two young women who set out to cure their life-threatening illnesses through health and wellness, influencing their global online communities along the way,” the official synopsis reads. “All of which would be incredibly inspiring if it were all true. This is a true-ish story based on a lie, about the rise and fall of a wellness empire; the culture that built it up and the people who tore it down.”
With cast members who have worked on everything from The 100 to Booksmart, there is surely no chance of it flopping.
1. Kaitlyn Dever – Belle Gibson
Kaitlyn Dever, who portrays the central scammer, Belle Gibson, has been working in the industry since one of her first roles in 2011’s Bad Teacher – she was that annoying teacher’s pet Cameron Diaz’s character hated. When it comes to big-picture projects, Kaitlyn has worked in Booksmart, Dear Evan Hansen, Rosaline, and the upcoming See You When I See You.
On the TV side of things, and besides brief cameos in shows such as Modern Family, Kaitlyn has lent her acting abilities to Curb Your Enthusiasm, Monsterland, and Last Man Standing.
Apple Cider Vinegar is definitely her biggest project, that is until she steps into the role of Abby in 2025’s The Last of Us season two.

2. Alycia Debnam-Carey – Milla Blake
Alycia Debnam-Carey is one of those actresses who pop up in the most random places, from horror movies like Friend Request to disaster films such as Into the Storm.
Undoubtedly her most popular roles are in The 100, where she played queer warlord Lexa Kom Trikru, and Fear the Walking Dead as Alicia Clark.
3. Aisha Dee – Chanelle
Though she has appeared in a few big movies such as the indie horror flick Sissy, Aisha Dee is most well known for her time in shows such as I Hate My Teenage Daughter, Baby Daddy, and Sweet/Vicious.
Personally, I fell in love with her in The Bold Type. The show followed three women trying to make it in the publishing industry at a magazine based on Cosmopolitan. It was iconic and also starred the captivating Melora Hardin – also known as Jan from The Office.
4. Ashley Zukerman – Clive
Australian-American actor Ashley Zukerman is a veteran of TV, having appeared in Fear the Walking Dead, Masters of Sex, Designated Survivor, Succession, and Silo. He also had a starring role in Netflix’s Fear Street franchise which is set for another trilogy in the near future.
5. Tilda Cobham-Hervey – Lucy
Tilda Cobham-Hervey has popped up in movies Young Woman and the Sea, Lone Wolf, I Am Woman, and Burn, but also in shows such as The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, and F**king Adelaide.
In 2014, she played the starring role in the critically acclaimed indie film 52 Tuesdays, which followed a girl’s attempt to navigate her parent’s gender transition. It was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and also won the Best Director Award.
6. Chai Hansen – Arlo
Before joining the Apple Cider Vinegar cast, Chai Hansen appeared in The 100, Mako: Island of Secrets, Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments, The New Legends of Monkey, and The Newsreader.
7. Matt Nable – Joe
You should definitely recognise Matt Nable in some capacity because he’s been popping up in projects since 2007’s The Final Winter. Since then, he’s worked on dozens of projects from science fiction classic Riddick to Poker Face starring Russell Crowe. He’s also had a decent TV career, stepping into the role of Ra’s al Ghul in CW’s Arrow universe, a role previously played by Liam Neeson.
8. Richard Davies – Sean
If you’re a fan of Australian TV, then you no doubt recognise Richard Davies. After making his start in 1997’s Look and Read, Richard worked on projects such as Neighbours, Tidelands, The Saddle Club, New Gold Mountain, and The Newsreader.
