Donald Trump has already passed two extreme laws in his first few days as President
He’s wasting no time
Donald Trump was inaugurated as President of the United States for the second time on Monday and he’s already passed two extreme laws in his first few days in office.
After re-installing his famous Diet Coke button in his White House office, one of his first laws was an executive order to expand the use of the death penalty across America.
The new law titled “Restoring The Death Penalty And Protecting Public Safety” orders the death penalty to be used for all capital crimes. That’s ones relating to the government.
This includes the “murder of a law-enforcement officer” and capital crimes “committed by an alien illegally present in this country”. However, it’s not just capital crimes.
The law also encourages state prosecutors to use the death penalty whenever it is applicable and ensure that they always have a “sufficient supply” of lethal injection drugs.
“Capital punishment is an essential tool for deterring and punishing those who would commit the most heinous crimes and acts of lethal violence against American citizens,” the law says.
Hours after taking office Trump:
– Pardoned 1,500 Jan. 6 rioters
– Left the World Health Organization
– Revoked a policy that lowered prescription drug prices
– Expanded the death penaltyYou know what he didn't do?

The new President has also reversed an executive order brought in by Biden in 2022 to lower prescription medication costs for citizens.
“Too many Americans face challenges paying for prescription drugs. On average, Americans pay two to three times as much as people in other countries for prescription drugs,” Biden said at the time.
Titled “Lowering Prescription Drug Costs for Americans,” the law capped the price of many generic drugs at $2 for people with Medicare and improved access to expensive cell and gene therapies.
Its reversal means prescriptions will cost a lot more, which will have a huge financial toll on seniors and families especially. Biden said one in four Americans struggle to pay for their prescriptions.
