From before Love Island to now: The beyond wild transformation Maura Higgins has had
Tell me your secrets Maura, I beg
Over the years, Maura Higgins has had a transformation for the history books. From her days before Love Island, to now being the ultimate IT girl, I’m obsessed. She’s glowed up in every sense of the term, and then some.
I can’t believe there was once a world where we didn’t all know Maura. She is now a household name, competing in the I’m A Celeb jungle. So let’s go back in time to the many layers of transformation Maura Higgins has had over the years. Starting with her before Love Island days, and ending with now.
Before Love Island, Maura Higgins looked totally different
Maura Higgins was born in November 1990, so is now 33. Of course, most people know her from her time on Love Island. Countless old pictures of Love Island 2019 legend Maura resurfaced whilst she was in the villa. They showed her with darker hair at school, and she had much thinner lips and a completely different overall vibe.
During her first TV appearance, she became the bombshell to end all bombshells
I will still never forget the day Maura walked into the 2019 villa, flashed the camera a wink and the rest was history. She’s now got the crown as being the bombshell who ended all bombshells.
At first she tried to crack on with Tommy Fury, which didn’t work out. It’s probably for the best, as he was coupled up with Molly-Mae, who is now Maura’s best friend.
Maura left the show with Curtis Pritchard, but they split up in March 2020.

And now, Maura has had even more of a transformation
Maura Higgins is hugely successful now, and her glam transformation has become her lifestyle too. She’s become a worldwide model, and is a host for Love Island USA. She is also an ambassador for wellness brand, Alo.
In the past she has spoken about getting work done, and has said she’s had lip filler and braces to straighten her teeth. She told MailOnline: “I got my lips done three months after coming out of Love Island and lip fillers lasts five to six months. I haven’t had anything done since then, I just let it dissolve.
“But people still assume I’ve had my lips done, Botox, people are even saying I’ve had my nose done when I’ve not actually had any work. I had braces on for a long time and since my teeth have moved, they’ve actually pushed my lips out slightly and I feel like I don’t need it. If I were to get my lips down now with my straight teeth, it just wouldn’t be a good look.”
In another interview she said she refused Botox, when she was offered it for free after leaving the villa. I’ll never not be obsessed with her.
