Glasgow’s Wonka experience creator has been put on the sex offenders register

This comes as he was found guilty of abusive behaviour after bombarding a woman with explicit photos

The creator of Glasgow’s Wonka experience has been placed on the sex offenders register.

Billy Coull, 36, was found guilty at Glasgow Sheriff’s Court of abusive behaviour after repeatedly sending explicit photographs of himself to an unnamed woman.

During his trial, the court heard how he also called himself a “wolf” and referred to the victim as his “prey”.

The defendant made headlines last year after charging people £35 for a Willy Wonka experience in Glasgow. The event went viral on social media with visitors complaining that it left their kids in tears. Event goers had been expecting a “paradise” of sweet treats but were instead faced with a half-empty room and unusual characters.

According to the BBC, Coull said the experience had taken a toll on his mental health.

During the trial, the sheriff was told how he created a Facebook account under a false name, and message the woman in March.

He also messaged her on WhatsApp and Snapchat, calling her “sexy”, “my wee charm” and “sugar lips”.

However, despite the woman asking him to stop, Coull then went onto send her explicit photographs of himself in his underwear. He then messaged her on 2nd July saying: “I’m the wolf and you are my prey, I will get you.”

He was later arrested after the message was reported to police.

Defending, Neil Stewart explained that Coull’s mental health had “declined” following the Wonka experience’s backlash in which he was accused of “scamming children”.

Talking about Coull’s victim, Sheriff Mark Maguire said: “She told you to stop and you failed to desist and sent further messages of a menacing nature.

“She told you to desist from using sexual language but despite this, you sent intimate images and messages of an alarming character.”

Coull was sentenced to complete 120 hours of unpaid work, and has been put under supervision for a year.
