So, what actually is a ‘pink tote lid’ moment?
The trend is all about sharing a moment when one of your parents got angry at you for no reason as a child.
They asked you to do something and then had a random outburst when you didn’t do it right or said the wrong thing.
For example, maybe your dad asked you to go and get their wallet but you couldn’t find it so they kicked off.
Or, you asked your mum to help you with your homework and she lashed out for literally no reason at all.
@brees.a.dinosaur I truly hope she is doing ok, and that she can get to a safe space soon ❤️

Erm, what does that have to do with ‘pink tote lids’?
It’s being called a “pink tote lid” moment because the trend started with one specific viral video.
In the clip, a girl wearing a pink t-shirt explained that she just got out of the shower and her mum asked her to “go and put the pink things in my room”.
She didn’t know what her mum meant so she repeated: “Pink things?”
Her mum looked at her angrily and shouted: “Just put the goddamn pink tote lids in my f***ing bedroom. The pink f***ing tote lids. Are you f***ing dumb?”
“You said PINK THINGS,” the girl replied angrily. “Do you know how vague that is?”

“They’re both just going off on me. They don’t shut the f*** up,” she said angrily.
Now, people are sharing their own stories of when a parent kicked off at them for something that wasn’t even their fault.
