Girls are uniting over toxic male behaviour in this new TikTok trend and I’m so here for it
‘Made plans to meet him at 7pm, so I switched my phone off at 6pm #womeninmalefields’
Every once and a while, a TikTok trend rolls around that makes me proud to be female, or makes me hate men – or both. Remember the “when I start hating my girlfriend phase” trend that was basically a thread of guys discussing what they do when they start to fall out of love?
Well the TikTok girlies remember it too and are all chiming in with their own survival stories after suffering from poor male behaviour.
All over TikTok right now, the women in male fields TikTok trend is being used by women to point out the toxicity of male behaviour, essentially exposing the typical things they do in relationships. And some videos did not hold back.
Others recreated the experience of being ghosted by a guy, saying they “made plans to meet him at 7pm, so I switched my phone off at 6pm”.

Whilst it’s intended as a joke, the trend has blown up as women are realising how many others have experienced the same behaviour from men as them. Someone commented under one video: “This trend is helping so many people realise that they were in fact NOT crazy….”.
But clearly nothing is safe, as men have jumped on the bandwagon and are sharing their problematic interactions with women. There’s even a #Meninfemalefields tag bouncing around, as they unite against the heat.
One guy went in hard, captioning his video: “When I have a bad day so I keep complaining about it to her and I try to pick a fight with her because I just feel like arguing, but she’s cool and that makes me even more mad #meninfemalefields”. No comment.
@iccefox Yall won w this trend 😭😭
Clearly these are also pretty common traits from women, as the men in the comments were quick to back each other up.
@daddycarts Don’t come for me #meninfemalefields
Pff, crazy. I’ve never said that.
Whilst a lot of the experiences give me piece of mind, the women in male fields TikTok trend has made me realise that some of you probably need therapy.
