Here’s what Barron Trump actually says in viral ‘suitcase’ video and where the clip is from
The way I’ve been saying this on repeat
Ever since I saw the video of five year old voice of Barron Trump exclaiming “I like my suitcase” I genuinely have not been able to get it out of my head. Literally no matter what I’m doing or what time of day it is I can’t stop saying it, the level of happiness it brings me truly is unmatched.
If you’ve been on TikTok you’ll almost certainly have seen it but in case you’re out of the loop here’s what the video actually is and why everyone is utterly obsessed with it.
So, what actually is this video?

The footage is from when Barron was just five years old and unlike how he sounds now he has a very thick Slovenian accent from Melania Trump. In the video, Barron Trump is seen prancing about his father’s office with his “suitcase”, which looks more like a briefcase, in hand whilst exclaiming “I like my suitcase.” It’s all a bit chaotic but in the best way.
What does he actually say in it?
But of course, there’s now some debate over what Barron Trump is actually saying in the video as some think he’s saying “like my suitcase” whereas others are now convinced he actually says “lost.” Well, sorry if you think he’s saying “lost” but I’ve listened to the video thousands of times and can confirm he 100 per cent says: “I like my suitcase” not love, just like.
Where did the clip come from?
The video was taken from a clip on CNN’s Larry King Live in 2010 when Melania and Donald Trump were featured in an interview. As for the “suitcase” in question, it is actually a Louis Vuitton briefcase and one that’s estimated to have cost around $10,000. For that price I’d “like it” as well.
