The creator of Supacell talks about possibility of a season two, and it’s looking good!

When Supacell dropped on Netflix it went straight to the number one spot, so everyone has been talking about if it’s going to get a season two. The creator of the show has spoken about what they want for the future of the show, and it sounds as though we could be in luck!

Supacell, created by Rapman, is about a group of five ordinary people who unexpectedly develop superpowers. They have little in common except for one thing: They are all Black south Londoners. It is down to one man, Michael Lasaki, to bring them all together in order to save the woman he loves.

It has got everyone hooked, and now has the coveted perfect 100 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes. “Supacell brings something truly unique and intelligent to the table. It has cutting social commentary that simmers throughout,” one review says. “It balances a slow-burn approach with the action-packed to bring you characters, big and small, you desperately root for.”

With all that in mind, people are desperate to know if we’re getting any more.

Will Supacell get a season two on Netflix?

Whilst the show hasn’t yet been renewed for sure, creator Rapman is feeling positive. He told Unilad: “I’ve told Netflix loads of times that I’ve got plans for multiple seasons. But you know how it goes, they’re gonna see how it does, and hopefully we get the next season.

“But I told them, I’ve got a three-season idea story in my head. So, I got three, not saying it could never go over, but I’ve got three stories, these three seasons in my head, of where I know where the story goes. So, I’m hoping that it comes out, performs really well, and we can go on a second part.”

With it getting 100 per cent Rotten Tomatoes ratings and being top of the Netflix top 10, it would be hard for the show to not get renewed. Now we just have to wait and see!
