Bristol University is handing out free pizza parties for completing this survey

Get all your course mates on it and you can all have a free pizza social

The National Student Survey (NSS) is incentivising students to take an end of year survey by giving away free pizza parties for every subject.

Building on extensive sociological research and after trying every other trick in the book to get students to complete the survey, it seems the boffins at the NSS have figured out the key to a Bristol student’s heart: free Senate pizza.

For those who don’t already know, the NSS is a nationwide survey of final-year students on their experience of university education and can “help shape the future of your course and your university/college for current and prospective students”.

An email to final year Faculty of Arts students explained that every subject area in the faculty that reaches a 75% completion rate before Friday 31 March (in one week) will receive a fully funded pizza social for their subject.

The subject area with the highest completion rate will also receive a donation towards “a student fund, research institute, outreach/inclusion programme, BSU-affiliated academic society, or support service of the cohort’s choice”.

Currently leading the race is Music, and with a 76% completion rate is the only subject to have already won a pizza social. See this chart to see how close your subject is to the 75% target.
