Liam Payne’s heartbreaking last words to son resurface online following his death

‘He looks like a mini me’

Liam Payne was tragically found dead after falling from a third-floor balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Wednesday night. Since the news of his death was made public, millions of fans have shared tributes online, but people have also found videos from earlier this year revealing Liam Payne’s sweet message for his son, Bear.

Liam and his ex Cheryl share a seven year-old son, Bear, who was born in March 2017. While celebrating Bear’s birthday this year, Liam spoke about his relationship with his son. In a video posted on Instagram, he said: “I didn’t get any dad socks yet though. I’m going to speak to my son in a little bit which I’m really excited about.

“Bless him. He’s getting so big now. He’s a big boy and he looks like a mini me. As if we needed any more me in the world.”

Liam and Cheryl were dating from 2016 to 2018. They always made a conscious effort to keep Bear out of the public eye and have never exposed his face to the public. However, Liam would occasionally give sweet details about his relationship with his son.

“I see him two times a week, three times a week sometimes. And I make sure when I see him, he has 100 per cent of my time,” he said.

Liam told People magazine in 2022 that his son thought of him as a “superhero.” He also said his relationship with him is what inspired him to give back to his community.

In a Snapchat video last month, he urged people to donate to his GoFundMe to support children battling cancer. In the video, he noted “ss a father, it hits me slightly differently. I cannot look at a sick child and not see Bear. I can’t and I won’t. So, when I see one that I can help out with, I’m there and I’m ready to go.”
