‘She’s a really cool girl’: What dumped Love Island 2024 Islanders have said about Jess

Mostly everyone watching Love Island 2024 has been shocked by the behaviour from Jess and her feud with Harriett with many saying she needs to be next to the leave the villa but dumped Islanders have been saying the perception of her is slightly wrong.

Obviously, the show is very edited so it’s probable that Jess is just being made out to be rude. I mean, she definitely doesn’t fully like Harriett but maybe hate is a strong word. She has been judged for being super confident and for her mantras of saying she is straight up and honest. She needs a quote book for sure.

Honestly, I need to know if we are being fooled by the editing and if she is actually going to win the public over when she leaves. So, here’s what everyone who has been dumped from Love Island 2024 so far has had to say about Jess.

‘The perception of Jess has kinda shocked me’

Dumped islander Samantha Kenny was really close with Jess in the villa; the two were a Northern duo that both had similar blunt humours. Samantha was quick to criticise the way Jess is being portrayed and that maybe the public are reading too deeply into Jess’ banter.

Samantha spoke to Digital Spy about her friend in the villa and did not agree with how she was being portrayed on the show. She said: “The perception of Jess has kinda shocked me. The thing with Jess is she’s just so straight to the point and so blunt but I think that’s the Northerner in us cause I’m the same.”

She is a ‘mature woman’

The love triangle between Ronnie, Jess and Harriett has been a top storyline in the 2024 villa and very entertaining. However, Patsy said that Jess was the more mature option out of the pair and that Ronnie claimed Jess handled the situation better. This really doesn’t match the petty Jess on our screens that has made seemingly made swipes at Harriett for an hour every night. It is hard to tell who is the more dramatic as both Jess and Harriett are as bad as each other at times, so this is an interesting revelation.

On Not My Bagg podcast, when talking about who Ronnie’s type was, Patsy said: “Harriett would of been someone he’d have gone for a couple years ago but he actually wants a more mature woman like Jess. The way Jess was handling it was something that was attractive to him.”

Now Munveer seems to agree with Patsy, that Jess comes across as the wiser option to pick out of the triangle and that Ronnie would be more likely to settle down with Jess than Harriett. Maybe Ronnie is hiding his true feelings about actually wanting to be coupled with Jess?

Munveer said on the Not My Bagg podcast that “Jess is more like a long term girlfriend.” Slightly shady to Harriet though who seems to be getting the most amount of hate, but maybe she is annoying to live with – time will tell.

‘They do support each other’

When Jess and Harriett aren’t at each others neck’s and having a go at each other, Tiffany said they they do tend to get along and it isn’t all bad. True, there have been scenes where Jess comforts Harriett, so is this feud more like a sisterly spat?

When on The Morning After podcast, Tiffany spoke about the pair and said: “On the whole they do get on, they do support each other. I’m sure they will make up.” Let’s not forget, Tiffany was away with the fairies sometimes with her infamous raspberry quote so I don’t know if really knew what was going on.

Omar and Jess did have a friendship in the villa and they apparently were on very similar wavelengths due to being honest and real. There is so much talk in the villa this year about being straight to the point but I would still debate if this can come across as rude, even if not intentionally. Maybe the Islanders do just have blunt personalities this year which is why Joey Essex gets all the air time as he is more interesting, just a thought.

On the The Morning After podcast Omar said: ”We got along cause we are really honest, she keeps it a hundred, she’s doesn’t beat around the bush she’s just very direct and to the point. She’s a really cool girl.” Is he being paid to say this or are the public completely in the wrong?
