Taylor Swift with a coding background

We got ChatGPT to write Taylor Swift song lyrics and honestly, I can see this as her next single

‘Eternal Echoes (ChatGPT’s version)’

Taylor Swift has an impressive 237 songs in her discography. If she can do anything, that woman can write some incredible lyrics. But I wonder if she ever gets tired of having to come up with the next words that thousands of Swifties will whack into their Insta bio and cry over?

With the rise of ChatGPT, we’ve already got the AI to give us a uni packing list and the stereotype of all the Russell Group Unis, but how creative can it actually get? And can it replace genuinely good songwriting?

We got ChatGPT to write a Taylor Swift song and I can genuinely see this being the basis for her next era

Taylor Swift’s brand new song is called Eternal Echoes (Chat GPT’s version) and seems to explore a past relationship that is still haunting them through “eternal echoes of a love that won’t fade away”.

Just stick some guitar, a Jack Antonoff songwriting credit, and some easter eggs in there and 90 per cent of her listeners would call it poetry.

Verse One

“In the quiet of the night, I hear your voice so clear,
Whispers from the past, memories we hold dear,
Underneath the moonlight, where we used to roam,
You and I together, finding our way home.”

If ChatGPT can do one thing it can definitely come up with a good rhyme. Roaming in the moonlight? If you asked me where that lyric came from I’d probably say her latest album Midnights.

Pre-Chorus

“But time has its way, it takes what we’ve known,
Leaves us with these echoes, in the silence we’re alone,
I’m singing…”

If there’s one thing that Taylor loves talking about in her music is the passing of time and ChatGPT nailed that in the pre-chorus.

Chorus

“Eternal echoes of a love that won’t fade away,
In the melody of our hearts, we’ll find our way,
Through the storms and the distance, we’ll survive,
In the eternal echoes, our love will come alive.”

The storm reference is really giving Folklore vibes, sorry!

Verse two

“Through the photographs and letters, I can feel your touch,
The love we had was magic, it meant so much,
Though the world has changed, and we’ve both moved on,
In these eternal echoes, our love’s still strong.”

So it’s definitely no Evermore lyric wise but you can’t deny that the vibes are absolutely spot on.

Pre-Chorus

“Time may have its say, but it can’t break this bond,
In the whispers of the night, our love will respond,
I’m singing…”

Chorus

“Eternal echoes of a love that won’t fade away,
In the melody of our hearts, we’ll find our way,
Through the storms and the distance, we’ll survive,
In the eternal echoes, our love will come alive.”

Thirteen year old me would be absolutely shaking at the eternal echoes metaphor I’m not going to lie.

Bridge

“I see your face in constellations up above,
Our love’s a story written in the stars,
No matter where we are, no matter how far,
We’ll forever be entwined, no matter where we are.”

In true Taylor Swift fashion, there’s gotta be a heart-wrenching bridge in there somewhere and ChatGPT did not disappoint. And the reference to Love Story in there too! AI is a secret Swiftie confirmed x

Chorus

“Eternal echoes of a love that won’t fade away,
In the melody of our hearts, we’ll find our way,
Through the storms and the distance, we’ll survive,
In the eternal echoes, our love will come alive.”

Why is this so deep? The Taylor Swift, ChatGPT crossover we didn’t know we needed.

Outro

“In the quiet of the night, I hear your voice so near,
Eternal echoes of a love that’s always here,
Underneath the moonlight, we’ll forever shine,
In the eternal echoes, your heart will still be mine.”

And an emotional outro to round it all off, chef’s kiss.

So it’s definitely a bit cringey and I can’t decide if its something a 13 year old would write in year seven music, but can I easily see it slipping in to one of her earlier albums like Fearless or Self-titled? Absolutely. Even ChatGPT is a massive Swiftie!
