Ranked: Who is the most followed Love Island winner on Instagram?

Kem Cetinay is the only guy Islander to have more followers than his female counterpart

| UPDATED

All of us were a bit shocked this year when Love Island said Islanders were going to have to make their socials dormant when they went on the show. As much as we don’t like to be cynical, Instagram is a big part of the show. The Islanders go big after, and the most followed Love Island winner has millions and millions of followers on Instagram.

It’s become a way of measuring the true popularity of Islanders through the years, but more to show which seasons we all got the most invested in. Here is a ranking to crown the most followed Love Island winner on Instagram, of all time.

18. Max Morley – 201k

Season one wasn’t very well watched, because people didn’t 100 per cent know what Love Island was all about back in 2015, so it’s no surprise to see Max, half of the first winning couple, down here. He’s got just over 200k followers.

17. Jessica Hayes – 358k

Yep, also right down the bottom is Jess – the other half of season one’s winning couple. She and Max split up after the show, and she now has 358k Instagram followers.

16. Kai Fagan – 388k

I’m actually shocked at Kai being one of the least followed winner ever – where is the justice! In the 2023 winter series, the Islanders were slapped with a social media ban to combat hate comments, which has clearly meant much less people have followed the Islanders, too.

15. Sanam Harrinanan – 416k

Up next, and also hitting hard the impacts of the social ban, is our latest queen, Sanam. She has 416k followers currently, which is a CRIME.

14. Nathan Massey – 774k

In 14th is Nathan, who won the second series of the show back in 2016. Over 750k followers is pretty impressive for the earlier seasons of the show – no complaints here!

13. Greg O’Shea – 904k

Greg O’Shea is next, with just over 900k followers. Since Love Island he’s gone back to a more quiet life, deciding not to take the route of loads of Instagram ads and reality TV fame. He’s continued to play rugby, and even played at the Tokyo Olympics.

12. Liam Reardon – 976k

Liam won with Millie in 2021, but they broke up a year later. He’s now got just under a million followers, and has appeared on Celebs Go Dating.

11. Cara De La Hoyde – 1.1million

The first Islander on the list to break the million mark is season two’s Cara. She’s now married to Nathan and they share two kids, so it’s wins all round.

10. Finley Tapp – 1.2million

Over a million followers for a winter Islander is impressive! Finn and Paige were often forgotten about, as straight after their series we got put into lockdown, but his feed is full of outfit pics, and is actually a bit of a vibe!

9. Amber Davies – 1.3million

Amber won Love Island in 2017, alongside Kem. As well as the usual Instagram deals, in front of her 1.3million followers, Amber is now back working in theatre and is a star in the West End.

8. Paige Turley – 1.6million

After winning the show with Finn in 2020, Paige focused on her music career. As well as this, she now has 1.6million followers on Instagram.

7. Jack Fincham – 1.7million

Jack won the fourth series of Love Island with Dani Dyer, who he later split from. Jack landed a TV show alongside Dani when they left the villa, and has worked with clothing brands and other companies for sponsored deals on Instagram. He’s got 1.7million followers, so is probably making a lot of money.

6. Davide Sanclimenti – 1.8million

Davide is another Islander using their following to cash in on Instagram branded deals. With 1.8million, he’ll be bringing home bucks, too.

5. Millie Court – 1.9million

Since winning the show in 2021, Millie Court has become the queen of Instagram. She has just shy of 2million followers, and is forever sharing her incredible outfits. I am in awe.

4. Amber Gill – 2.6million

Up next is Amber Gill, who won the 2019 series. She left the show with Greg, and then she claims he dumped her by text, which he’s always denied. Anyway, she ended up with nearly 2million more Instagram followers, so that’s a win at least.

3. Kem Cetinay – 2.8million

It’s official: Kem Cetinay from 2017 is the most followed male Love Island winner on Instagram. Is that because we all loved his relationship with Amber, or because we all loved his relationship with Chris? You decide.

2. Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu – 3.2million

Queen Ekin-Su has just been beaten to the top spot, currently with 3.2million Instagram followers. An icon on the 2022 show, having loads of Instagram followers is what she deserves.

1. Dani Dyer – 3.6million

Are we surprised to see Dani Dyer up here? She and Jack saw the biggest landslide victory in Love Island history, and she’s continued with a huge career in TV and influencing since the villa. She’s the richest winner of all time too, btw.
