Mormon Wives’ Dakota’s sister-in-law defends Taylor amid backlash on leaving her kids to film
She spoke about what happened to Taylor and Dakota's son
Dakota Mortensen from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been getting a load of backlash following his split from Taylor Frankie Paul. Dakota’s sister-in-law is now speaking out to defend both of them, and has revealed where the exes now stand.
She said: “I wanted to clear things up. Yes, Dakota has had Ever [Dakota and Taylor’s son] is loving all the extra time he had gotten with him while Taylor has been filming these past couple of months. He has been here in Idaho with us for the past two weeks.”
“Ever was able to fly and see Taylor for a day before flying back to Utah and then he and Dakota came here for the holidays. Before she saw him for that one day before he came to Idaho, it had been over 20 days since she had gotten to see him,” Dakota added.

Dakota’s family member continued: “She is allowed to FaceTime him every now and then and she did FaceTime once in the past two weeks that Dakota and Ever were here with all of us. All I will say about filming is they are only filming the last couple weeks in Utah.”
They went on to claim the “rest has been filmed elsewhere” and that they “promised Taylor a lot of stuff and didn’t follow through with hardly any of it.” She added: “I know it has been hard on her but it has also been hard on her children. They’re the ones that suffer.”
“The TV and film industry just doesn’t understand family/mothers dynamics and a lot of them don’t understand how hard it is on children or parents when they’re forced to be apart and not have contact with each other more than once every two weeks,” she wrote.
She went on: “Anyway, Dakota has not said anything negative about her being on the show nor has he shamed her for working. Y’all need to stop believing every little gossip thing that pops up. They all thrive off of drama, just like the show does, and it’s unfortunate.”
