Mormon Wives star Chase McWhorter arrested and charged with DUI and cocaine possession
Police claim he kept serving between lanes
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Chase McWhorter was allegedly involved in an incident on July 4th in which he was arrested and charged with a DUI and possession of cocaine.
In court records obtained by the US Sun, police claimed that Chase “drifted outside of the travel lane several times” and “smelled of alcohol.”

The police alleged that Chase “did knowingly and intentionally possess or use a controlled substance,” while “driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs” with a suspended or revoked license.
They claimed they “observed a vehicle driven by a male, later identified as [Chase], who was unable to maintain his speed and drifted outside of the travel lane several times, almost hitting a curb.”
When the Mormon Wives star was pulled over so officers could conduct a traffic stop, they detected that Chase had the “odor of alcohol and observed he had bloodshot, glassy eyes and slurred speech.”
It was also claimed that Chase “showed signs of impairment while performing the field sobriety tests.”
The police also claim that when they searched his car, they found a “powder substance that field tested positive for cocaine and fentanyl.”

After he was read his Miranda rights, Chase “admitted to drinking at a bar and using cocaine before driving,” the police claimed.
Chase was charged with the possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and driving on a suspended or revoked operator’s license.
He was summoned for an initial court appearance on September 24th, but according to court he didn’t attend, with a warrant for his arrest issued for the same day and his bail being preemptively set at $2,500.
On November 5th, Chase’s attorney entered a not guilty plea on his behalf, and by November 18th the arrest warrant had been recalled.
His attorney told the US Sun: “My client is presumed to be innocent and I intend to represent him to the best of my ability.”
