People have a wild theory of why Kayla left Selling The OC, and it’s really concerning
It kinda checks out
Ok, so Selling The OC came back with a bang in season four. There was a whole lot of relationship drama, a ton of luxury houses on display, and three newbies added into the mix.
Although season four was serving drama, a lot of folks couldn’t help but feel sad at the fact that some OGs were missing. Now, people have a wild theory about why Kayla Cardona isn’t on Selling the OC any more, and we’re concerned.
Kayla Cardona was an OG cast member

Kayla Cardona was one of the original names who helped set the chaotic, sun-drenched tone of Selling the OC when it first dropped.
From day one, she brought a mix of hustle, vulnerability and just-enough drama to make every group scene a little more unpredictable.
Kayla’s story has always been about climbing, whether it’s breaking into multimillion-dollar listings or navigating a brokerage where alliances shift like the tides in Newport.
And even when she wasn’t in the spotlight every episode, her presence shaped the early dynamics of the cast, those first friendships, the tensions, the infamous awkward moments we all remember.
Being an OG means she’s part of the show’s foundation, the era that gave us the blueprint for what Selling the OC eventually became. Love her or not, it’s safe to say people are feeling the show isn’t the same without that original Kayla energy.
Delving into the controversial theory

As everyone feels Kayla’s absence during Selling The OC season four, some are theorising why exactly she might not have come back.
There’s no official word on what her departure was all about. But Decider reported: ” Though we have yet to learn why Kayla isn’t appearing on the Netflix series anymore, but in the past she’s been vocal about racism accusations against Alex Hall.”
Delving into the “racism accusations,” Decider shared a link to a TMZ Watch video that saw Kayla addressing claims about Alex “being a racist.”
During the clip, Kayla does not directly accuse Alex of racism or use the word “racist,” but said:
“I mean, there is a lot that was said off of camera and tons of acts of microaggression, ignorance, and entitlement, so I mean, if the shoe fits…
“There was multiple times where they called me and Brandi either crazy and aggressive, and it’s only us two. So, you put the two and two together…”
She confirmed back to the reporter that she thought the criticism Alex was getting from viewers “was fair,” and said how “she has to face the consequences for the things that she does and says,” adding: “…It’s not ok.”
The reporter asked: “Did production have to step in and have a meeting with you guys… do you feel like the editing was fair?”
Kayla said: “No, production never stepped in at all… the editing, again, there were a lot of things that were left out that led up to that point, so…”
By the looks of things, the two haven’t made any progress in regard to their relationship. Per an exclusive with Us Weekly, Kayla said Alex “blocked her,” and that she didn’t think Alex’s apology during Selling The OC season three was “genuine.”
