The second season of The Circle US is back in full swing and all the drama is kicking off. The series has been a crazy success at Netflix, launching versions of it all over the world. So you might be surprised to know that there aren’t actually The Circle apartments all over the place and no matter where the show says it’s coming from, it’s filmed all from one single block.
Yep, the aerial shots of the US you see during the episodes are all just for show. The plush and modern apartments are all actually in the UK. Here’s exactly where, and a little look inside the homes in real life.
So, where is The Circle US actually filmed?
The only thing US about The Circle US is the contestants (apart from very Essex Chloe, of course). The series is filmed in Salford, in Manchester, in the same apartment building where the UK version of the show is filmed for Channel 4. The building is called the Adelphi Wharf 1 – and is pretty obvious on Google Maps with the huge circle on the side of it. And I’m sorry to report, it’s a lot less glamorous from the outside in real life than it looks on the show.
The apartments are about a 25 minute walk from Manchester city centre and are right by Salford University. According to Rightmove, a two bedroom flat in the building costs around £185,000 and the development is “award winning”.
The inside of the apartments are done up very swanky for the show, with bright soft furnishings and modern finishes. It looks like the contestants are really living their best lives there.
If you’re wondering why the apartments look quite different from season one, it’s because they’ve all had a complete revamp for the new set of contestants. All of the cabinets are new, every single wall was painted again, and all the furniture is new.
