  • Seamus is the incoming Co-Editor in Chief of The Durham Tab for 2026-27 and will be responsible for overseeing its content output and organising its team. He will also be commissioning and editing articles from contributing writers and arranging regular social events with the entire team.
  • Seamus has written a number of guide articles informing students about various aspects of university life, as part of a broader series of features pieces. He is also interested in news articles, especially involving collaborations with other groups related to Durham.
  • Seamus is a third year English literature student who has been an active part of The Tab for a year. He is interested in creative writing, journalism, music, and video editing.

Experience

Seamus began writing for the Tab in August 2025, with a series of features pieces geared towards incoming Durham students offering guidance about life in the first few weeks of university. Outside of the Tab, Seamus has edited for the student TV station PalTV and is interested in wider journalism and media.

Education

Having completed A-Levels in English Literature, English Language, and history, Seamus began studying English Literature at Durham University in 2024. He is particularly interested in modern literature and creative writing, and is looking towards studying a master's degree in the latter.
