The 24-year-old, who is friends with fellow streamer HSTikkyTokky, was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison at Basildon Magistrates’ Court after failing to comply with a community order.

Matthews previously made a name for himself by livestreaming confrontations with alleged paedophiles alongside a group of self-described “hunters”.

In June 2024, he was given a community order after sharing footage of himself assaulting a man he claimed was a paedophile. He was fined £264 and ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work and rehabilitation activity days.

However, after he failed to comply with the order, he was jailed this month, according to The Sun.

The original livestream showed Matthews ambushing the alleged paedophile and ordering him to eat an extremely spicy crisp, threatening to have him arrested by police. He then wrestled the man to the ground and held him down while filming the encounter.

Matthews was later convicted of assault by beating, as well as using threatening and abusive language or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, at Willesden Magistrates’ Court in 2025.

Following the latest sentencing, his friend HSTikkyTokky described it as “absolutely ridiculous”.

Matthews has also spoken about his time behind bars in a phone call shared on Instagram.

“I’m on a peak bang up right now, 23 hours a day because I’m high profile. All alone in my cell,” he said.

“But guess what I’m grateful still, something I was preaching in Africa. I love you man. I’m good. I’m going to go so much f**king harder when I come out with these streams. I’m so motivated.

“I’m getting treated like a f**king murderer and that predator is walking free. The system is f**ked.”

He also encouraged his followers to attend his upcoming court date next month.

Matthews has previously appeared alongside HSTikkyTokky in Louis Theroux’s Inside the Manosphere, which was produced for Netflix.

Matthews has also posted an AI-generated movie inspired by his own story, which depicts him in prison.
