All of Angry Ginge’s controversial moments before he even set foot in the I’m A Celeb camp
He broke a jungle rule
Angry Ginge has barely walked into the I’m A Celeb jungle, and he’s already one of the most chaotic characters of the entire line-up who has had a few controversial moments. The Twitch star, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, has been causing mild mayhem long before he swapped his gaming chair for a hammock in the Aussie heat.
He’s 24, he’s unpredictable, and he’s about to become properly mainstream now that he’s moved from online streams to prime-time TV. But if you’re wondering why he already has such a reputation, here are all of I’m A Celeb’s Angry Ginge’s biggest controversial moments that put him on the map.

Before he’d even touched down in camp, Ginge had already kicked up a bit of harmless chaos. Speaking to The Sun as soon as he landed in Brisbane, he admitted, “I’m very excited, I’ve never been here before, so it should be fun.”
He then launched into a clearly tongue-in-cheek tale about being invited to Australia by Kelly Brook, Lisa Riley filming Dingles Down Under, and Aitch’s mum winning a Postcode Lottery holiday, all “reasons” he joked had brought him to Oz.
And of course, he couldn’t help poking fun at fellow campmate Aitch, saying, “I’m not the number one fan of his music, but he’s a good guy.”

One of Ginge’s most infamous moments came earlier this year at the British Grand Prix. According to Northamptonshire Police, Ginge was with fellow creators Chazza and SamHam when Chazza tried to squeeze into the cockpit of a classic Formula One display car, and it instantly escalated.
The trio were arrested on suspicion of causing £30,000 worth of criminal damage, though they were later released without charge. Ginge ended up spending the night in a cell and later admitted, “I’m genuinely traumatised.”
The group were also banned from the rest of the race weekend for “antisocial behaviour”.

Things took a more serious turn last year when Ginge’s GNT gaming partner, Yung Filly, was arrested in Australia on sexual assault and rape charges. As reported at the time, Filly pleaded not guilty to all charges, with a trial scheduled for 2026.
Speaking about the future of their GNT team, Ginge said, “If you want my honest answer, I don’t know its future… at the minute, I don’t know.” It was one of the few times viewers had seen him genuinely unsure.
Trolling James Maddison right to his face

Another standout moment came during a United vs Spurs match. Ginge completely lost the plot when Manchester United equalised in injury time, while standing right next to Tottenham’s injured midfielder James Maddison.
He leapt up, celebrated wildly, and even filmed Maddison’s reaction. Maddison pushed the phone away, clearly not thrilled, but the pair later shook hands once the match had ended. A very Ginge mixture of banter and chaos.
The Soccer Aid row with Carlos Tevez

If there’s one thing Angry Ginge doesn’t do, it’s hold back. That was obvious during this year’s Soccer Aid match. Playing centre-back for England, he went in for a heavy tackle on Argentinian icon Carlos Tevez, which left him with a cut on his own leg, and Tevez, understandably, furious.
After the match, he posted, “Cheers Tevez, t***.” He also mocked Tevez on stream by changing the lyrics to The Cranberries’ Zombie, singing, “In your head, in your head, Tevez, Tevez…”
But he did give Tevez some credit, admitting, “I will be honest, he did score four.”
If this is everything he’s managed before heading into the jungle, imagine what he’ll get up to now. I’m ready, because it’s going to be a wild ride.
