Which Bristol uni societies would the cast of Celeb Traitors be in
Stephen Fry would absolutely boss the Quiz Society
Despite TB1 being packed full of diss proposals, presentations, essays, and group projects, the Celeb Traitors is still the most important thing on our minds at the moment. And because focusing on anything academic is honestly just not as fun, in the name of serious journalism (and slight procrastination) we present you a definitive list of what Bristol Uni societies our fave cast mates would be a part of:
Stephen Fry – Quiz Society

As labelled an intellectual genius by all those who encounter him, not only would Stephen be a part of Quiz Society, he’d definitely be the president. He’s already got the University Challenge experience so there is no doubt that he would be leading Bristol’s team to glory if he went to uni here. And you know everyone would be scrapping to have him on a pub quiz team because that bar tab would automatically be yours.
Niko Omilana – UBTV

Niko would absolutely shine as the face of UBTV. He would be known for quizzing drunk students on the Triangle and partaking in weird challenges on camera like hunting ghosts in Wills Memorial Building or 10 before 10 at the Cori Tap. He’d be the guy on campus you fear the most, posing a constant threat of accosting you whilst you try to study in the ASS. He would be followed around relentlessly by his film crew and quickly become a (notorious) Bristol celebrity.
Celia Imrie – The Bristol Tab

Most Read
Technically, we are not a society, but the Bristol Tab are claiming Celia as one of our own. Celia’s serious commitment to snooping around the castle is exactly the behaviour you need to exhibit to be one of the best writers in Briz. Her omnipresence would make her an amazing Tab journalist. At Bristol, she would have no problem finding out all the juicy gossip around uni for a brand new story.
Joe Wilkinson – Yoga Society

Credit: BBC
Joe is the most chill guy ever, even chuckling cooly at his own his own murder. His calm demeanour made him a valuable faithful, but that was seen as a threat. It would make perfect sense for Joe to be a yoga society member, attending weekly Vinyasa sessions in the Richmond Building, and then attending lectures straight after with an air of mystery and spiritual groundedness. He would also mysteriously disappear off to society-led retreats and say something cryptic upon his return.
Paloma Faith – Netball Society

Credit: BBC
Paloma would be a fierce netball girlie. She would be powerful on the court, but off the court would be a sweetheart, preing for sports night to early Taylor Swift albums and taking up on the role of welfare rep on the netball committee. She would probably study geography or psychology whilst pursuing music on the side. In true netball girl fashion, she’d be the first to die on a show like the Traitors.
Cat Burns – Fashion Forward Society

As one of the youngest contestants in the castle, it is no surprise that Cat is one of the trendiest, landing her in Bristol’s Fashion Forward society. From sporting a stylish tartan coat in the first episode, to seasonally appropriate chunky knits and cardigans, Cat has got the autumnal, Scottish-inspired style down to a tee. She would obviously be one of the best dressed students strutting along Woodland Road if she came to Bristol.
Mark Bonnar – Reenactment Society

Credit: BBC
Mark would be the most active 12th century re-enactor at the University of Bristol. He would engage in historical retellings every weekend, finding comfort in his medieval Scottish roots. Just look at how enthusiastic he was about being flung up into the air by a net trap – he would not be one to shy away from a historically accurate retelling of the Third Crusade.
Kate Garraway – Dramsoc

Credit: BBC
The overambitious vocabulary and theatrical reactions make Kate Garraway the perfect candidate for Bristol uni’s Dramsoc. Her performances at the breakfast table are so oscarworthy, that people suspect her of being a calculated traitor, even when she’s really a poor faithful. What can we say – she just has that natural flair for the dramatics – which means she could effortlessly star in any of Dramsoc’s productions here at Bristol.
