‘Whose horse is that?’: House of Guinness star reveals if he used prosthetic in *that* bath scene
Doing the lord’s work good sir
House of Guinness is a historical drama about the rise of the famous brewery, but if you’re still not sold, take a peek at the now-infamous bathtub scene on Twitter.
Written by the same minds behind Peaky Blinders, House of Guinness follows the family in the late 19th century after the death of their patriarch, Sir Benjamin Guinness. Starring Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Niamh McCormack, James Norton, Emily Fairn, and Jack Gleeson, the show is very Succession-coded – but with fun top hats and a dash of gay.
Arthur Guinness, played by Anthony Boyle, is central throughout the show. He’s secretly gay and in a prearranged marriage with no spicy time, but in a particularly, let’s say, gripping moment, he stands up from the bathtub with his business on full show. As Twitter so eloquently put it, “Whose horse is that?”

One person wrote: “Was watching House of Guinneses and audibly gasped in that bath scene with Anthony Boyle.”
“House of Guinness. The bathtub scene was impressive,” another said.
The rest are simply too x-rated to post, but you get the vibe. Naturally, people wondered whether Anthony used a prosthetic in the House of Guinness bathtub scene – so here’s the cheeky answer.

Okay, so did he use a prosthetic in the House of Guinness bathtub scene?
Speaking to Men’s Health about his full frontal bathtub moment, Anthony Boyle said he didn’t use a prosthetic in House of Guinness.
“It’s not a prosthetic. It’s my own body,” he said. “I sort of wrote that aspect into the scene; It was the night before we were filming, and he was in the script originally meant to be getting his cufflinks on by the mirror.”

Volunteering for a full frontal scene and then refusing to wear a prosthetic is a choice, but honestly, good for him. He obviously wanted to share his gifts with the world; give this man a Nobel Peace Prize for humanitarian work.
But there was some method to his madness, as he explained: “He should be completely naked and just get up, to show that he owns the whole f**king world. He wouldn’t even have to say anything to say, ‘I’m above these servants. This is my world. I am dominant, and I control everything.’ That’s what I wanted to show.”
Shall be adding to this ever-expanding list of actors who refused to cover up their junk.
