‘I regret things’: Harrison breaks his silence after shock emotional Love Island exit
He’s spoken out about everything that happened
It’s been a dramatic week for Harrison on Love Island 2025. He brought Lauren back from Casa Amor, continued to get to know Toni, then slept with Lauren twice, before admitting he wanted Toni back. All the drama ended in a dramatic exit for both Harrison and Lauren from the Love Island 2025 villa.
Lauren found herself dumped from the villa. Straight after this, she asked Harrison to leave with her. He took some time to make a decision, before saying he would. This was despite the ongoing triangle with Toni. In the middle of all the drama, Women’s Aid shared a statement with The Tab, after Harrison’s behaviour was called “petrifying” by viewers.
Now, Harrison has spoken out about his journey. “It was an emotional one last night, I’m happy with my decision and stand by it,” he said of his decision to leave. “It was sad saying goodbye to everyone. It’s all I’ve known for four and a half weeks! It was the best summer of my life, I had some amazing times in there. I did obviously regret a few things I did but I loved the experience, I can’t fault it.”

‘The connection we have is so so special I wasn’t ready to leave it’
Talking through his journey, and all the triangles, Harrison added: “It was an emotional rollercoaster of a journey for me, there’s never been a dull moment. I’ve obviously been involved in a few triangles.

“The first was with Toni and Helena, I was relatively new to the villa so I wanted to explore connections and I came to the conclusion that Toni was the better suit for me. Then when I went to Casa there was an instant spark and connection with Lauren, I knew from day one there was something special there.
“When I came back from Casa something in the back of my mind was still thinking about Toni. If I had left with Lauren when Shakira had the choice to send me home, I think I would’ve always regretted not giving me and Toni one final go as we left on good terms before Casa. That’s the reason I gave a little speech before the recoupling on the terrace. As soon as I did that, I felt terrible towards Lauren. For two days, I tried to go tunnel vision with Toni but there was something holding me back. I felt like Lauren and I naturally gravitated towards each other, the connection we have is so so special I wasn’t ready to leave it.”

‘Me leaving was making a big statement’
Harrison said what ultimately made him come to the decision to leave was because he realised it “wasn’t the same” without Lauren. “I felt like my journey was finished which is why I decided to leave,” he said.
“When Lauren first got the text saying she was being dumped my initial reaction to her leaving was ‘I’m going’. I came here and found what I wanted. Having said that, I didn’t want to make an emotional decision, I’m quite an indecisive person and so I wanted to take my time with it, rather than leave and regret what I’d done. The fact I stayed a day later and processed everything really helped me. Me leaving was making a big statement. It shows her I’m really into her and see a serious future with her.”
Harrison also spoke out about his biggest regrets in the villa. He said: “Normally I say I live life with no regrets, but the way I went about certain situations I definitely would’ve handled it differently on reflection. I feel like I would’ve taken myself away from the situation for a day or two and just really figured out what I wanted.
“I would’ve had those awkward conversations just to let people know where my head was at, I do shy away from those conversations on the outside. Especially here, I should’ve been more honest. It was for the greater good, and it would’ve stopped people’s feelings from getting hurt. People were hurt more by me being so indecisive and trying to avoid awkward conversations. I definitely would’ve gone about handing triangles in another way.”
As for what’s next for Lauren and Harrison, he said they’re going to try and make long distance work. Harrison said: “I feel very strongly about the girl, I wouldn’t have left if I didn’t. I have no doubt in my mind that she’ll be my girlfriend one day. I’m buzzing to see her and reunite! She’s such a great girl.”

Women’s Aid released a statement regarding Harrison
Ahead of his exit from the Love Island villa, Women’s Aid released a statement regarding Harrison. Jessye Werner, communications manager at the charity, told The Tab: “In recent years, Love Island and other forms of reality TV have been repeatedly called out by viewers for allowing in contestants that had a history of abusive, coercive and manipulative behaviour in previous relationships. As a result, production companies have been more careful when it comes to selecting contestants and calling out toxic behaviours when we see them.
“Despite these positive steps, we still see unhealthy patterns of behaviour on these shows, showing just how steeped in misogyny and sexism our society still is. Women are often lied to, slut-shamed and manipulated, as well as laughed at behind their backs. Misogyny and sexism lay the foundation for the tolerance of abuse and violence – it reinforces a culture that excuses and trivialises violence against women and girls. More must be done to educate contestants on sexism and misogyny, and it is a great credit to viewers who take to social media, continuing to call out these behaviours as soon as they see them.”
