From The White Lotus to Living: All the wildly random places you can watch Aimee Lou Wood next
She’s been a teenage icon, a tortured romantic, and even a Brontë heroine
If you’ve just finished The White Lotus season three and found yourself spiraling into an Aimee Lou Wood-shaped obsession, you’re not alone. Ever since her scene-stealing debut as Chelsea — the chaotic, emotionally unpredictable Mancunian girlfriend we did not see coming — the BAFTA winner has been firmly back in the spotlight.
But Aimee’s been collecting standout roles (and critical acclaim) long before she landed at that Thai resort. From indie films to Netflix comedies, and now making her writing debut, here’s exactly where you can stream, watch, and worship her next.
The White Lotus

This is the role that’s got everyone talking this year. Aimee plays Chelsea, the hilariously sharp, emotionally raw younger girlfriend of Rick — and she’s a scene-stealer. Whether she’s sipping cocktails, causing chaos at dinner, or spilling her soul by the infinity pool, Chelsea has quickly become a favorite in the White Lotus universe.
Status: Currently streaming (Season three)
Watch it on: NOW, Sky Atlantic (UK) / HBO Max (US)
Daddy Issues
If you haven’t caught this one yet, now’s the time. Aimee plays Claire, a woman who’s trying to navigate dating, family, and some deeply unresolved trauma — all with her signature blend of charm, awkwardness and heartbreak. It’s part Fleabag, part Feel Good, and all Aimee.
Status: Ongoing
Watch it on: BBC iPlayer
Sex Education

via Netflix
Most Read
Aimee Gibbs. The bus scene. The goat. The whole journey. This is where most people fell in love with Aimee Lou Wood — and honestly, revisiting her performance is never a bad idea. From comic relief to emotional powerhouse, Aimee’s arc in Sex Education remains one of the best on the show.
Status: All four seasons available
Watch it on: Netflix
Living
Opposite Bill Nighy in this quiet, devastating adaptation of Ikiru, Aimee plays Margaret, a bright young office worker who helps her aging boss rediscover meaning. It’s subtle, elegant, and quietly heartbreaking. (She got standing ovations at Sundance for a reason.)
Status: Streaming + available on demand
Watch it on: Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play
The Electrical Life of Louis Wain

via Amazon Prime
This quirky biopic about the artist who made cats cool features Aimee as Claire Wain, a grounding presence in Louis’ eccentric world. It’s whimsical, moving, and features some very emotionally intense kitten content.
Status: Available now
Watch it on: Amazon Prime Video
Uncle Vanya
Aimee isn’t just dominating screens. In between filming, she returned to the West End to star in Uncle Vanya (which was also aired on the BBC) and stole the show in Cabaret as Sally Bowles in 2023. Critics called her “unbearably brilliant,” which feels accurate. No crumbs left.
Status: Watch via Digital Theatre / BBC Archives (occasionally re-aired)
Wuthering Heights
If you’ve ever thought “I need Aimee Lou Wood’s voice gently destroying me emotionally,” then good news — she narrated Wuthering Heights for Penguin Audio. It’s dramatic, it’s romantic, it’s gothic… it’s perfect.
Status: Audiobook, available now
Listen on: Audible, Penguin Audio, Apple Books
Film Club

via BBC
This is the big one. Aimee is not only starring in this upcoming romantic drama — she co-wrote it. Film Club follows Evie, a film-obsessed romantic who uses her local movie club as an escape from real life. But when her best friend (played by Ralph Davis) announces he’s moving away, Evie has to decide whether to finally act on her feelings — or miss her moment entirely.
Shot in Manchester and backed by an all-star supporting cast including Suranne Jones and Nabhaan Rizwan, it’s been described as “piercingly funny and heart-achingly tender.” If Normal People and About Time had a BBC baby — this would be it.
Status: Premiering later this year
Watch it on: BBC iPlayer/BBC Three (Release date TBA)
Sweet Dreams
Originally set to star Mia Goth, Aimee stepped into the lead role of Dorothy in this surreal, psychological thriller. We don’t know much yet, but the early buzz is strong — and I’m betting it’ll be a departure from anything we’ve seen her in before.
Status: In post-production
Watch it on: TBA (Film festivals / Limited release expected late 2025)
