Jacqui Burfoot’s five apparent jobs outside of MAFS Australia 2025, thoroughly investigated

Jacqui Burfoot from MAFS Australia 2025 definitely considers herself a high achiever. She claims to have worked in both law and finance, to be a former model, to own her own jewellery business, and to be a certified yoga instructor… all by the ripe old age of 29.

Outside of Jacqui’s business side quests, she also owns a spaniel, and says she has read 2,000 books, run 13km most days, and play 14 different sports, and run 13km. Wow, her diary must be so full.

Here is a rundown of all five of Jacqui’s apparent jobs, and an investigation into what she actually does outside of MAFS Australia 2025.

Jacqui runs a jewellery business

She named her business after herself – Jacqueline Lee. Jacqui sells a wide variety of items, ranging from $30 AUD (£14.59) bracelets to a $80 AUD (£38.90)  sterling silver eternity ring.

The website says the gold-filled jewellery is “designed for long-lasting durability” as the pieces “have a lifespan of over one year”.

Apparently she works in both law and finance?

Jacqui has a degree in law and finance from the University of Auckland. She graduated in 2019. Her website says she has a postgraduate qualification, but doesn’t specify what in. She does not appear to be a practicing, fully-qualified lawyer.

Her LinkedIn page has now been taken down, but apparently used to say she’d been both a lawyer and an investment analyst at multiple different companies over the last six years. In 2024, she was working at a commercial law firm that specialises in tech start-ups. It looks like Jacqui used to be a consultant who worked on short-term contracts at lots of different companies.

Jacqui has claimed the backlash to her behaviour on MAFS Australis 2025 has left her “too mentally distressed” to “function at work” and work in law for “at least two years”.

She’s also a certified yoga instructor?!

Jacqui has not provided details of what certification she has, or if she actually teaches yoga anywhere. But she definitely seemed to know what she was doing during her yoga session with Ryan on their MAFS honeymoon.

Jacqui did legit do some modelling work

She did once do a photoshoot for a hair extensions business in Bali, and walked at a fashion show for a small clothing company called Northern in 2021.

Jacqui loves reminding everyone on MAFS Australia 2025 that she was Miss New Zealand, in addition to her 5+ past jobs. However, this is somewhat misleading. Jacqui didn’t win Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International or Miss Earth in her country. She did wear a sash with “Miss New Zealand” on at a contest called Miss Yacht International in China in 2012.
