MAFS Australia bride Jacqui’s strange response to accusations she’s been fake crying

The MAFS Australia 2025 producers must have been so hyped when they discovered Jacqui Burfoot. Plenty of Mafs viewers have been confused by her reactions on the show, and have accused her of faking tears. Jacqui has finally responded to claims she was fake crying on MAFS Australia, and I honestly don’t know what to make of this reason.

At Jacqui’s MAFS wedding, she was deeply concerned when her new husband didn’t take her hand first. She said, “That’s the one thing I didn’t want. I wanted a man to lead. And I think that will be the challenge, is whether he can step up to it, and be the man around me and let me be the woman.” After her stone cold take on modern gender roles, Jacqui seemingly burst into tears.

Many, many MAFS Australia viewers have accused her of pretending to cry. One X user wrote, “Does Jacqui fake cry at everything or?”

Now, Jacqui has responded to these allegations of fake crying. She claims she was really sobbing, but the producers edited out her tears?

She said on TikTok: “So, often if I’m crying, I’ll be crying for like, five minutes. What they’re doing is they’re editing it so they have the start of me crying and the end of me crying, but they cut out the actual crying in the middle where the tears come out.

“You can see that often I am crying because I end up with mascara on my face and under my eyes. It’s just the editing. They probably have ten seconds to show me crying, so they just do the start and the end but not the middle.”

Jacqui claims to have video footage on her phone that proves she was really crying during the production of MAFS? Apparently, she frequently filmed herself on her phone while she was mid-tears.

“Also, I do have heaps of diary cams that I was taking on my own, where I’m literally bawling my eyes out explaining what happened over the last 24 hours, because I was worried they were going to not show what was really happening, so I started documenting everything and taking my own evidence and my own screen recordings.

However, she is unwilling to release the videos.

“So I actually have video footage of my crying. But I thought it would be so desperate of me to release this. It would look like I was such a loser to be like ‘guys, this is proof I was actually crying'”.

Apparently she might release the evidence she was crying in the future, but she’s unsure about it for now, because she’s drinking red wine in the videos and it’s “sad”.
