Crown her! How Yasmin went from misunderstood bombshell to Love Island’s rightful winner

Yasmin and Jamie are giving what Meg and Dejon THINK they’re giving

Yasmin Pettet was called the “most irrelevant” girl on Love Island. By men. To her face. By men who actively flirted with her and who she let her guard down with. Most of the girls coupled up with those men in the villa had no shame in saying they weren’t threatened by Yasmin. Whilst she brought iconic TV when she arrived on day five – it’s clear that both the villa and the viewers thought Yasmin may have simply just been a flash in the pan. She dodged AI allegations and endless mistreatment, and here we are on day 36 with Yasmin now being the only one from Love Island 2025 who genuinely deserves to win right now. She’s gone from laughing stock to fan favourite – and here’s how Yasmin is now the perfect choice to be given the winner title when Love Island 2025’s final comes around.

Her first week feels like YEARS ago

Via ITV

Yasmin came in as a bombshell unafraid to ruffle feathers. She was demonstrating the now legendary posture and flirting like any bombshell should do – to make an impression. It was jarring for the villa, but she has demonstrated that it was worth it. Whilst she dodged AI allegations over the way she spoke, sat and moved – she made a name for herself as someone that was unafraid to go what they’re after.

And whilst Yasmin proudly stated she wasn’t there to make girl friends she was there to find a man – it’s been her friendship anchored with Toni and Shakira that has made her well rounded, caring and … not aligned to the evil half of the villa. You know who I mean without wasting any more breath on the nastiness.

With Toni and Shakira lowkey out of the running, it’s Yasmin’s time

Toni and Shakira and Yasmin are the holy trinity of wow. But now Love Island 2025 is in its final stretch, it’s Yasmin who is the only one out of the trio who deserves to win. Shakira has alienated some fans of the show now she’s in her new era with Conor – mostly because people have decided they don’t like Conor all that much anymore despite him being quite popular in the first few weeks.

Toni was most people’s icon, but the events of the last two days have very much halved that when you have a glance down the fan response. Basically, we love Toni and we love Shakira – but we can’t support their decisions and we don’t want to reward the men who’ve f*cked them over.

But you know whose man HASN’T f*cked them over? The lovely, lovely Jamie.

A pure and natural connection

Jamie and Yasmin have blossomed from Casa Amor into a special connection that is a delight whenever the show gives us the mercy of not shoving Harry and Helena down our gullets. He is into her for all her quirks, loves her posture, they flirt wonderfully. It’s a truly naturally blossoming connection.

And it’s exactly what Yasmin deserves. She’s risen above some absolute hell that got put to her in that villa. Firstly having to couple up with Ben for anything over 0.2 seconds basically deserves a Pride of Britain award.

And on a completely different note, how amazing for someone a bit different to become such a favourite. An underdog. Someone who has an Instagram in all black clothing. As one of my mates said to me, “Not watched a single episode but I’m obsessed with her vibe – she’s like Morticia Addams from PLT. ” Isn’t this exactly the type of vibe Love Island should be crowning, to get a bit of life back into the old formula? Let my queen Yasmin win Love Island 2025 – and Jamie deserves it too!
