A clip of Curtis Pritchard’s stand up comedy set has resurfaced and it’s painfully unfunny

He actually had to post an apology statement it was so bad

You might be wondering if it’s humanly possible for Curtis Pritchard to get even more cringey and I can confidently tell you that after being subjected to watching his comedy stand-up routine from 2021 it’s even worse than anything he’s said on Love Island All Stars.

When I tell you it’s the unfunniest video I’ve ever seen I really do mean it, and it was received so badly he actually had to formally release an apology statement which is quite something.

His entire comedy set was truly awful, but one moment in particular was what can only be described as a trainwreck. To the point where his comedy teacher, who was listening off-stage, admitted she told him not to perform the joke.

She vented: “I told him… I didn’t even know he was gonna do this joke. I told him to take this joke out.”

As for the joke in question? Well, it involved mixing up lube and hand sanitiser because of course it does. I think we should all just feel relieved at this point that Curtis will spare us this joke during Love Island All Stars.

Curtis began the stand up routine, saying: “We’re all into hand sanitise now, with this Covid situation.

“I tell you, this one time, I bring this girl home and take her upstairs into the bedroom. And she says she likes it in the dark.”

“I got some lubricant out, two squirts. You don’t want any more than that otherwise it’s like a slip and slide.”

Cue pure silence from the audience, but this clearly didn’t deter Curtis as he brazenly continued: “But, she starts screaming when I rub it on the area and I’m thinking ‘wow am I this good or something?’ She’s like, ‘it’s burning, it’s burning.’

“So I say ‘quick wash it off!’ I turn the lights on and I look down to my right and I’ve got a tub of hand sanitiser next to me.” The audience then booed him as he walked off stage and I think that tells you all you need to know.

Curtis later issued a formal apology for his jokes on his joint podcast with brother AJ, stating: “I just want to apologise because I know that everyone that listens to this you always support me, you’re lovely and give me the utmost respect and thank you so much for that, but I just want to apologise to anybody that I have offended.”

He went on: “Some of the jokes, they missed the mark, they were completely off track and went too far and I didn’t realise that at the time but I realise it now and I just want to apologise to everybody and anybody that I have offended. It was never intentional at all, it really really wasn’t.”

However, later on in the podcast, he seemed to defend himself a bit, adding: “I know I wasn’t the best, but I am telling you I was better than what they showed on that night.”

Sure thing Curtis, as long as you don’t subject us to having to listen to it again on Love Island All Stars that’s all I ask.
