Love Island winner shares heartbreaking truth behind why so many Islanders quit All Stars

Three down, how many more to go?

When Love Island is on, we expect that maybe one person might realise the villa isn’t for them and go home. In the past there have been loads of people who have walked, and it tends to be one person a series. But, already on Love Island All Stars alone, THREE people have quit the show.

Scott was the first to leave, after not progressing with Tina. Then Ron walked after also struggling to find a connection. Now this week it’s been confirmed Lucinda Strafford was in the holding villa ready to be a bombshell, but then suddenly quit the cast and flew back home. A mess!

Now, previous winner Kai Fagan has shared a brutal reason he thinks the Islanders are dropping like flies. He won the show in 2023 alongside Samie, so knows best about what it’s like to be in the villa.

Speaking on Instagram, he said: “I’ve just seen that Ron’s left the villa. Obviously this comes a day after Scott’s left it. But what I want to add is – I rate how genuine they’ve both been. How they’ve both been able to identity that that’s not the place where they’re gonna find worthwhile connections.”

He then hinted the real reason Islanders are quitting is because it’s tough in the villa, and Islanders realised the “clout” wasn’t worth it. In the past, many have questioned if All Stars Islanders go back simply for a career boast.

Kai said: “Although this would have been a tough decision for them, they’ve thought ‘y’know what, sack this, sack the clout. I don’t care. I’m being real to myself and I’m going’. And that’s what I rate so much.”

He said the villa can be the “loneliest place” for someone who doesn’t have a partner, and added a huge struggle is how cut off Islanders are from their loved ones.

“Now believe me with this – if you’re in that villa and you’re struggling to make a connection with someone, you’re struggling, you feel a bit out of place, it is the loneliest place you’ll ever be. [Islanders] have no connection to the outside world,” Kai said.

“You can’t contact your friends, you can’t contact your family. You don’t even know what’s happening, you just have to sit there in your thoughts. So to be able to remove yourself from that situation. It’s the right thing to do if you just don’t feel that it’s right for you.” Truth!
