Want some of my nachos? Explaining the meaning behind meme you’re seeing everywhere
The origin is honestly so random
I love when words take on a life of their own and become something so intrinsic to the Twitter conversation people can barely remember where it started in the first place. We saw it last year with Khia, and I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but we’re seeing it right now with the classic starter… nachos. “Lowkey wanted some of her nachos” is a huge meme right now that has broke through to an even bigger mainstream audience after some viral Lady Gaga post Grammys, post Abracadabra release tweets saying that the Ga “reheated” some of her OWN nachos. But what the hell does wanting nachos even mean and why is the meme everywhere? Here’s the nachos meme explained in full.
What does it actually mean to want someone’s nachos?
the concept of nachos as currency or social standing cracks me up each time like what do you mean lady gaga reheated her nachos ššš

Basically, if you ever see wanting nachos it means that the subject matter is doing something inspired by someone else. For example, you could say that if an artist made an album that went hard on a colour like Charli XCX did with Brat – you could say that artist wanted some of Charli XCX’s nachos.
She really reheated her own nachos!! https://t.co/cOlcGPJNug

The current discourse has brought us Lady Gaga REHEATING her nachos – a fun spin on the formula. This is of course referring to her new single Abracadabra from her upcoming album Mayhem, and how stylistically that song uses a sound and has a music video that harkens back to the Gaga aesthetics of her The Fame Monster and Born This Way eras.

Nachos became a meme from this random clip of Natalie Nunn, which said she lowkey wanted some of Stunna Girl’s nachos. The clip was first posted in 2023, and is taken from Baddies West. Very rogue but that’s how the best things are birthed.
And now the clip lives on forever in random Twitter lingo meme history.
