Should’ve gone to Belfast
It’s nearing the end of term, you’ve bought a few too many overpriced vodka shots on nights out, and now you’re in a panic refreshing your current account and wondering if there’s a hole in the screen that all your money fell out of. New research by NatWest reveals which uni cities are the most expensive to live in – so you’ll know for certain whether the odds are stacked against you, or if you’re just really bad at budgeting. Glasgow and Edinburgh are the most expensive cities to live in with Russell Group unis.
NatWest worked this out by surveying 6,186 UK uni students between 24th April and 31st May. The scores below come from the average monthly living and accommodation costs in each uni city divided by the average monthly income. The higher the number, the more expensive that city is for students.
