Longlegs director just revealed he hid the devil 15 times in the film – did you spot them all?

This film scares me more by the minute

| UPDATED

Longlegs is terrifying. One of the scariest experiences you could hope to have in a cinema – especially if you actually know about horror and realise transient jump scares aren’t reflective of true terror, atmosphere and dread. The satanic serial killer film feels deeply evil from start to finish and manages to really get under your skin with its horrid atmosphere alone. But now, director of Longlegs and the official Twitter account for the film have both announced that the devil himself was hidden in 15 different shots in the film – lurking in the background to build extra terror for those unfortunate enough to have clocked him. How many times did you see the devil hidden in shots in Longlegs?

Yesterday, the official Longlegs socials team posted a video saying “The Devil is everywhere. Look closer.” In this video, Longlegs team teased how the devil is actually hidden in 15 shots across the film and gave a few away for you to keep an eye out for in a rewatch.

This one shows the shadow of the devil looming behind a young Lee Harker.

The first one the video teases is near the start of the film, where Agent Lee Harker is at home and sees a shadow outside of the window. Behind the shadow, which I assume is one of Longlegs’ dolls, you can see a horned figure.

The second is show outside the window of the library. I have no clue how I never clocked this one. Must have literally been watching with my eyes closed because I was too petrified.

The third is in the background in Longlegs’ workshop in the basement of Lee and Ruth’s home. This one unnerves me, I can’t lie. You can see the devil lingering at the back near the desk and the horns are over the top of the rafters.

The final teased shot sees the devil outside Ruth’s home as Lee makes her way through it – and you can see the evil looking very pronounced outside the glass.

Well, that’s five down, 10 to go. Time for a rewatch – if my nerves can take it.
