A guest who had coronavirus visited Goldsmith halls last night

Last night a guest visiting Goldsmith university accommodation called Chesterman House informed the university that they had tested positive for Coronavirus.

The student they were staying with has self-quarantined in the halls of residence after developing symptoms, although they have not yet been diagnosed with coronavirus. The accommodation management, Campus Living Villages, is working with the university to provide support for other residents.

The postgraduate halls, comprising of 12 shared flats, is located in the Goldsmiths Student Village in New Cross.

Another student living in the same flat has also self-isolated, however they have not developed symptoms.

The confirmed case at a University of London campus comes after the total number of diagnosed people in the UK reaches 87, with at least six cases confirmed in London.
