All the Russell Group unis ranked by how much cash students get from mummy and daddy

As the cost of living rises and students’ bank balances plummet, UK uni students are having to beg their parents for money more than ever. 75 per cent of students now rely on from their parents, according to The Times. Here is exactly how much money students at Russell Group unis are getting from their parents throughout their degrees in 2024.

Loads of London unis are really high up on this list. I guess students who have to pay the extortionate rent in London need all the help they can get. It’s more common for London students to live at home and commute to uni, in which case they’re getting lots and lots of help from the Bank of Mum and Dad.

This data comes from High Fliers‘ 2024 UK Graduate Careers Survey and first appeared in The Times.

So, here are all the Russell Group unis ranked by the average amount of money students who graduated in 2024 got from their parents throughout their whole degrees.
