Since everyone’s fuming, here’s why Travis Kelce wasn’t in the first two eps of Grotesquerie

‘Ryan Murphy was 100 per cent using Travis to get us to watch the show’

| UPDATED

Does Ryan Murphy ever take any annual leave? Asking because I genuinely am concerned. It feels like a week can’t go by without a new project of his dropping on streaming services, and as Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story continues to be the most watched show on Netflix right now Ryan Murphy is about to dominate another streaming service at the same time. Instead of the usual American Horror Story instalment hitting our screens in the autumn, Ryan Murphy just released the first two episodes of his mysterious new show Grotesquerie on Disney / Hulu – starring none other than Travis Kelce. With Kelce making his acting debut, everyone was super hyped to see what role he was playing and if he was any good, but as people have started binging the first two episodes of Grotesquerie everyone is wondering where the hell Travis is?

Why is Travis Kelce not in the first two episodes of Grotesquerie!?

Despite the fact everyone was told that Travis Kelce would be a major character in Grotesquerie, his absence from the first two episodes of the show has caused a fury from the sports fans and Swifties who were well and truly seated to see him act in the horror.

As viewers asked where Travis was, one theorised, and I fear that maybe it is accurate, “I knew Ryan Murphy was 100 per cent using Travis to get us all to watch the show. We all knew it, and still watched the first two episodes. I bet it has record viewing numbers.”

Another absentee from the first two episodes is the recently adored Nicholas Alexander Chavez, who is starring in the show in a lead role too but hasn’t arrived. However, we did get a preview clip in the episode for the next batch dropping next week and Travis is definitely in them and we see him say a couple of lines. Ryan Murphy has been super tightlipped about Travis’ character so we don’t even know what he’ll be doing or why – but he does seem like he’s going to be kind of sinister.

Grotesquerie also stans Niecy Nash and Lesley Manville and so far has had quite good reviews, but brace yourself for mega gore. I heard the killer has boiled a baby. Gross.

The first two episodes of Grotesquerie are streaming on Disney Plus now – and Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story is available on Netflix. For all the latest Netflix news, drops and memes like The Holy Church of Netflix on Facebook.
