Selling Sunset’s Emma finally speaks out about *those* rumours she’s seeing a married man

‘I know what she’s referring to. First off, it was in 2021’

During season eight of Selling Sunset, there were some wild allegations made that Emma Hernan has been knowingly seeing a married man. The allegations were brought up by Nicole Young, who claimed Emma had been having an affair with someone who already has a wife.

During the show, it was made to seem as though fellow Oppenheim Group agents Mary and Amanza knew all about the claims, but one person who didn’t know everyone was talking about her was the woman at the centre of it all: Emma. She never found out people were talking about her, and never had the chance to address the rumours surrounding her.

However now the show has aired and Emma has seen everything that’s been said, she has definitely wanted to share her side of the story.

“Nicole is a sick individual. I’m going to be super candid. There’s zero truth to that rumour,” Emma told Vulture. “I know what she’s referring to. First off, it was in 2021 that I showed this person properties and then they actually asked to invest in my empanada company. I said ‘No,’ and nothing happened.”

She continued: “When I say nothing happened, I never touched this man, never kissed this man, never held hands with this man. I was completely blindsided by this whole situation, and I mean backstabbed by everyone involved, everyone that knew anything about this because it’s completely slander, it’s defamation [and] it’s all of the things.

“It was, like, this person reached out to me — he was getting divorced — and he sent me the fact that he was legally separated and asked to look at a property. I know there might’ve been a crush there, but there was nothing, not one single thing that transpired.”

During Selling Sunset, Nicole claimed she had a “source” who had told her all about the “affair” but Emma has said the source in question has spoken to her since, and doesn’t know why Nicole is spreading what she is.

Emma said: “[The source] was like, ‘Emma, I just want you to know, I don’t know why Nicole is saying this. I never said that it was an affair. I have no idea why she would do that. Mary, Jason [and] Brett were calling me and being like, ‘We feel so bad. We have your back 100 per cent. Whatever you need us to do. We know nothing like this happened.’”

Emma also claimed Nicole must have made up the story because she otherwise wouldn’t have had a “storyline” during Selling Sunset season eight.

However, Nicole is *still* standing by what she said. “This was information given to me by a credible source,” Nicole told Tudum. “I don’t mean that as an excuse. I own the fact that I said it, but this is not something I made up.”

Emma clapped back once again, telling Tudum: “Nicole was made aware by that source that the rumours she was spreading about me were absolutely not true, and despite knowing she was spreading lies, she continued to do so on camera over the following months. I am so disappointed that she would do such a thing to another woman.”
