Therapist shuts down claims Catie from 90 Day Fiance, who says OCD makes her kiss people
She's even fired back at multiple experts
Multiple experts are calling out 90 Day Fiancé’s Catie for shutting down her claims she has OCD, which stands for obsessive compulsive disorder. A therapist has now spoken out to say that Catie’s desire to kiss her friends has nothing to do with the mental disorder.
Catie claimed that intrusive thoughts tied to her OCD give her an uncontrollable urge to kiss other people whenever she drinks alcohol or feels insecure. But OCD does not manifest as or cause compulsive infidelity, boundary-crossing, or kissing other people, experts claim.

OCD specialist Alegra Kastens has said: “This is NOT an opportunity to attack a person. I am in no way commenting on whether or not this person has OCD. I am merely educating about intrusive thoughts and OCD because the media often gets it wrong.
“People with OCD do not act on their intrusive thoughts. They perform excessive and time-consuming compulsions to prevent the thoughts from coming true. Intrusive thoughts are not desirable or wanted,” although Catie “gets intrusive thoughts about making out.”

According to Catie, the experts are “discounting [her] OCD” by commenting on clips from a reality TV show that is “highly edited.” She added: “Yes, there are actions that I’m not proud of. I don’t like watching myself back drunk, that was bad, but I do have OCD.”
“I’ve struggled with it for years. The making out with people is how the show chose to portray it… I’ve wasted years of my life doing compulsions and not being able to focus on the moment. My compulsions usually are just, like, mind loops,” she revealed.
