Mormon Wives’ Miranda ordered to pay five figure credit card debt after missing court
A lawsuit has been filed against her
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Miranda McWhorter was ordered to pay a five figure credit card debt after she allegedly failed to attend court, according to Us Weekly.
Us Weekly obtained the default judgement for $12,849 entered against Miranda McWhorter on August 21 in the Utah court. The bank demanded that fees and interest be added to the principal, with the court signing off on the request.

The lawsuit was filed by Discover Bank in September 2024 over an alleged unpaid bill of $12,409.27.
Lawyers for Discover Bank claim in court documents that “although demand has repeatedly been made up [Miranda McWhorter], payment has not been made on [the] account.”
The lawyer for Discovery Bank alleged: “As a result of services provided at [McWhorter’s] request, [Discover] established an account with [McWhorter]. [McWhorter] defaulted on the account by failing to make payments as they became due.”

Discover Bank also attached a copy of Miranda McWhorter’s bill showing her unpaid debt, which showed that the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives opened her account in 2018.
According to the court documents, Miranda was served the legal documents at her home in Utah on February 8th at 12:46pm.
Miranda’s then-husband Chase called the process serve in January to inform them they were working with a debt relief company to handle the debt.
Despite the claim, neither responded to the case in court.
