Guy Fieri rushed for emergency surgery after his leg ‘exploded’ following gruesome accident
This sounds so painful
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives star Guy Fieri has been rushed into emergency surgery after his leg “exploded” following a nasty accident.
Guy told Fox News Digital about the incident, which happened after he “slipped” down some steps whilst filming for a new episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

He explained: “We’ve got everybody in town and all the chefs there and 125 people on set and everybody’s ready to go and I’m in surgery.
“So, we figured out how to pivot through it and to have some creative filming techniques.”
Guy Fieri explained that he completely tore his quad in half, resulting in him having to get emergency leg surgery so the muscles didn’t “recede.”
He recalled how the accident happened, saying: “One foot went forward and the other foot got caught on the threshold. So, you know, it extended me out.
“I looked like I was probably doing the splits, but when my right leg compressed into itself, the giveaway point.”

Guy claimed that his doctor told him that “in 20 years he hasn’t seen a tear in the biggest, thickest part of your quad in half,” adding: “Yeah, it sucked.”
He was then rushed into emergency surgery as his muscle has actually exploded, saying: “You normally tear that muscle at your tendon or the tendon tears off the bone, but this was right in the center of the whole quad muscle and it exploded.” Yikes.
