Here’s where Katie stands with Jen and the rest of the RHOC cast after *that* reunion
It's literally been a mess from start to finish
Katie Ginella’s journey through RHOC season 19 has turned into quite the emotional rollercoaster, and she’s not exactly holding hands with her former bestie, Jenn Pedranti, anymore.
What felt like a tight bond early on splintered into public drama when a now-deleted video sparked serious backlash, per People.
Add in a lie-detector kerfuffle and leaked audio, and suddenly the alliances are shaky.
Katie and Jen had a major fall-out
Katie didn’t mince words after Jen Pedranti (alongside Gretchen Rossi) posted a social clip that she called “very hurtful, very inappropriate.”
In the video, the two women mimicked martial arts moves, squinted their eyes, and lip-synced to what some saw as stereotypical “Asian” sounds.
Katie expressed on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea how the clip hit her personally, saying “we should read the room.”
The fallout wasn’t just public, it was painfully personal.
Katie, who is of Korean descent and the first Asian American to join The Real Housewives of Orange County full-time, shared how the incident brought up old feelings of being “the only” growing up, per Reality Blurb.
Meanwhile, Jen defended her actions as lighthearted and “just being goofy,” pledging there was no ill intent and pulling the video down soon after getting criticism, reported TooFab.
To make things messier, the Reunion aired tension between them, including accusations that Katie shared a lie-detector test fallout and even leaked audio. During the three-part reunion, Jen allegedly called Katie a “con artist,” which only deepened the divide.
Where does Katie stand with Jen and the rest of the cast?
Right now, Katie seems emotionally and socially isolated from many of her “friends” on RHOC.
According to a candid chat in her Page Six interview, she says the split with Jen was “horrible” and that she no longer considers her a close ally.
Others in the cast haven’t exactly rallied to her side either. Gina Kirschenheiter, for one, revealed that several castmates feel “unsafe” around Katie, a jab she connects to Katie’s past of recording a backstage meltdown by Shannon Beador, reported Page Six.
But Katie hasn’t gone radio silent. In interviews, she’s standing by her feelings, owning her mistakes, and calling out what she sees as unfair “bully behaviour” from the group, reported Decider.
Speaking of the future, Katie said she’d want to return for RHOC season 20 as Vicki Gunvalson is also coming back. She told Access Hollywood that their husbands are friends: “We hang out a lot, I love Vicki.”
She also confirmed that she and Tamra Judge are now on good terms, so there’s potential for a new ‘Tres Amigas’ group on the horizon. “You never know,” she said of the idea.
Katie continued to lift the lid on her bond with Tamra. She said that after the drama panned out with the other ladies, Tamra would call her every day, and was the “first one to call her.”
“I thought that was really kind, and she actually brought me back into the fold to film… we have a mutual respect for one another,” she added.
So, at this stage, Katie is on good terms with Tamra and Vicki. But, when it comes to Jen, she said: “We are nowhere.”
However, she would “love to squash the beef with Jen and Shannon.”
As for the other cast members, repairing a friendship with Gina and Emily doesn’t appear to be on the cards as Katie added: “I don’t think they would ever be open to that, so I’m just letting them have their space.”
