Love Is Blind creator reveals that Anton didn’t pay for the engagement ring, the show did
He lowkey shaded him for lying too
One of the biggest points of contention this season of Love Is Blind has been surrounding engagement rings, and the creator d the show has had enough.
Cast your mind back to when Anton and Ali had a fight over how much he should have spent on her engagement ring. Anton said he spent $5k on the ring, with Al believing he should have spent $10k.

Well, as it turns out Anton didn’t pay for the engagement ring at all, as it’s something the show provides. Awkward.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the creator of Love Is Blind, Chris Coelen, cleared up some speculations about the engagement rings.
He clarified: “We supply them with the rings, and at that point, those rings are their. They never have to give them back if things don’t work out. They’re their rings.
“And if they want to say that they paid for them, then that’s up to them. They can say whatever they want.”
As for the prices, they aim to get ones in the “$3,500 to $5,000 rang”, so it looks like Ali was never going to get her dream $10k ring after all.

Chris explained: “If they want to upgrade their rings, they’re welcome to do that. We have nothing to do with that. We give them the rings, they do what they want.
“They are involved with choosing the rings, but we give them a selection, we pay for the rings, and they pick something out that they feel like makes sense for them.”
He added: “How they decide to talk about that is up to them. There are no rules.
“We’re documenting these people’s lives and we want to have them live those lives as authentically as they can because they’re making decisions that are very real and life-changing about whether or not they want to get engaged and get married and the love that comes with all of that. How they do that is up to them.”
