Kacie admits to gaslighting Patrick on Love Is Blind despite ‘refusing to give ring back’
This is all getting so out of hand
The whole storyline of Kacie and Patrick has been really up and down, and now she’s come out to admit she gaslighted him on Love Is Blind. She may have refused to give him the engagement ring back, even after breaking things off, but says there’s more to the story.
Kacie has now said she “would take back how things ended with Patrick” in a Viall Files interview, in which she admits she “wears her heart on her sleeve” and that, “in the moment, I did think I loved him,” and regrets how she ended things with Patrick.
She said, “It was gaslighting or leading him on. I don’t want to play into his insecurities. I felt horrible, like, I thought I fell in love with this guy. As far as the goodbye goes, you’re surrounded by a ton of producers and cameras and people you don’t know.”
“When he showed up in that moment, ‘Am I, like, making a huge mistake here? Should I stay?’ I felt comforted by him because he was, kind of, this one person I thought I really knew,” Kacie continued, and guess who agrees? Patrick!
He also appeared on Viall Files and admits Kacie “just didn’t handle it the right way.” Patrick claimed she “wouldn’t even give him a face-to-face, not even a phone call” and “kept telling him she needs time” – but Kacie says there’s “receipts” and that’s “not how it went down.”
The drama is truly drama-ing, with Kacie claiming she had “intentions” of dating Patrick back in Colorado — she just didn’t want to be engaged because she wasn’t sure she could get the lacking physical attraction, and wanted to get to know him away from cameras.
Kacie claimed Patrick didn’t reach out to her. “That’s not how it went down. He did not reach out to me. I reached out to him,” she claimed to Viall. “We got back on, like, a Friday. He wanted to have a phone call or meet up immediately.”
She added, “I was like, ‘Listen, I’m so emotional right now, I just got home it’s not going to be the outcome you want.’” Kacie claimed that she asked Patrick to give her until that Monday or Tuesday, saying, “I want to talk to you. I’m so glad I had this experience with you.”
During the show, Patrick told his friends: “I asked for the ring back, and she stopped talking to me. I asked her for the ring back and she was like, ‘No, you act like you’re the only one that’s hurt in this situation. I’m going to keep the ring.’ That was her last text.”
