Here’s the shocking real reason Anna and Blake abruptly quit Love Is Blind season nine
They didn't tell anyone they'd left the pods
Season nine of Love Is Blind is finally upon us, but within just a few episodes there’s already insane drama after cast members Anna and Blake abruptly quit the show without telling anyone.
Neither of them say goodbye to anyone in the cast, including their strongest connections, but now the pair have revealed why they decided to leave the pods.
Anna quickly forged a strong connection with Patrick in the pods, and admitted she was “taken aback” by how much they had in common.

She explained to Tudum: “We’re both children of immigrants, and there are very specific things that every child of immigrant parents goes through. Even if we’re not saying exactly, ‘Oh, yeah, growing up with parents who have a language barrier is difficult,’ we can gather things from that.”
Anna admitted that their conversations soon started to feel overwhelming because of the “sensitive topics” they were discussing, as she realised it would be broadcast to everyone who wanted, including her family.
Anna also revealed she felt guilty appearing on Love Is Blind as she was always their helper and she knew they were worried about her being on the show.
She emotionally confessed that eventually she broke down in the pods, and wondered what she was doing on the show.
She explained that she felt incredibly guilty that she’d taken the place of someone else who could have found love, saying: “I was a wreck. My eyes were almost swollen shut from crying. I was embarrassed.”

Love Is Blind producers asked her if she wanted to tell Patrick that she was leaving, but Anna decided she didn’t want to be on camera anymore.
She now wishes she had told Patrick she was quitting, but knows she made the best choice for herself in the moment, adding: “I don’t think I regret it because I don’t think the connections were strong enough to have a successful marriage from there.”
Blake was another Love Is Blind cast member who quit the pods, and like Anna he ended up realising the show just wasn’t working for him.

He explained: “Sometimes I’m practical to a fault, and as the days ticked on, I just realized that a proposal wasn’t in the cards for me.”
Whilst Blake was talking to Megan, he admitted that telling her he was quitting “wasn’t even on his radar” which he feels “horrible” about.
He continued: “In the moment, I think I was almost exclusively concerned with where my head was at, my emotional state, and I really thought I was doing the right thing.
“So I didn’t play that out, which feels clumsy and foolish. If I could go back, I definitely would change that.”
