'The world lost a great man'
Former MAFS Australia cast member Tim Smith has broken his silence on the death of Charlie Kirk, admitting that it’s “deeply affected him.”
Tim posted a caption and video about the incident on his Instagram, writing: “Today the world lost a great man. Charlie Kirk was more than just a name — he was a father, a husband, and a friend who always put it all on the line.
“His children lost their dad, his wife lost her partner in life, and all of us lost a man who carried incredible intelligence and a heart that made the world better.”
He continued: “Charlie will always be remembered for his courage, his wisdom, and the way he lived with purpose.
“Life is fragile, and moments like this remind us to cherish the people we love, to say the words we mean, and to never take a single day for granted.
“Rest in peace, buddy. Your legacy will live on in the lives you touched, and you’ll never be forgotten.”
In the video MAFS Australia cast member Tim Smith mourned the loss of the “incredibly intelligent” Charlie Kirk.
He explained: “I don’t like to delve into politics but Charlie Kirk’s death has deeply affected me, and it’s made me reflect all day on Charlie.
“It’s made me reflect on his life and hearing all the outpouring of grief and what he meant to people. I’m not going to get into all the absolute wackjobs out there.
“Charlie Kirk was 31 years and incredibly intelligent again. And what happened today was two little kids lost their dad and a wife lost her husband and we lost someone really intelligent.”
He continued: “What I will say is that he accomplished so much in 31 years, my page is about empowering belief in yourself, betting on yourself.
“If your life was a movie how do you want it to play out? And trust me, I’ve watched a lot of stuff about Charlie and you can’t help but have admiration for where he’s come from, he wanted to make a change, and believed his message.
“Violence doesn’t solve anything. This is not how the world should be.”
